Hey gang! Sorry for the absence, but I've been away at a program for principals. There are 16 of us in the state who participated in the 2nd year of the program this year and I graduated today. Pretty stoked. Feeling out my 3rd year application over the next week or so....

1/2 to the season sounds good to me! I'm all about a downhill slide. Although I'm ashamed to admit it, I've been pouring through Pinterest looking at Christmas stuff lately. They have some really neat things about Christmas traditions that we have been talking about for our new little family. I think I'm going to start a new thread and ask some of y'all about your family Christmas traditions...so please come by and tell them to me. We really are trying to come up with some ideas.

Sometimes the best traditions are those that just happen ... you do something on the spur of the moment that makes a great memory, so you do it again next year, and the year after that. So maybe think of some little thing you did some past year that you'd like to recapture, or share with the little ones.

 

[Holiday]

Hello all. Chilly one tonight, I had the back door open for awhile but had to close it, because it went from cool to cold, real quick. I still have the bedroom windows open upstairs, so when I go upstairs, it will be nice and cold, just the way I like it up there...

I went up to school earlier this evening and started moving Vicki out of her dorm, pretty much filled most of the van up and tomorrow night we will finish moving her out and that will be it for her junior year. Not a whole lot going on, Zach is sitting here watching the Caps/ Rangers game 7, Lisa is spending her night, finalizing our vacation plans and me, I'm just chilling~

I am so glad that tomorrow is Thursday. There are some people that just love the start of the week, me, I love and live for the weekends....

I don't like to wish my life away, but I agree with you 100% ~ Monday's always seem a little gloomy & as the week goes on the days (and my mood) gets better & better! Love, Love, Love our weekends! So happy it's Friday Eve!

Some people are so terrible when it comes to pets. For example, one of my brothers found a puppy in Baltimore City, cute little thing. He picked it up, put it in his truck and took it to his home in another County. He took it to a vet because he wanted to adopt it and the vet found some kind of chip in it. Apparently, the dog was owned by some people, and they decided that they didn't want it any longer, so they drove 100 miles, dumped it in a city and left. The people didn't want the puppy back, so my brother adopted it. Today, it is a healthy, thriving, happy, playful large puppy of 6 years old...

I suppose all's well that ends well! But, those people....Hmmphh~

That pooch ended up being one lucky pooch!! Gracie is chipped for a reason - if she should run away...WE WANT HER BACK!!! What's wrong with people?!

Please keep Harlowe in your thoughts & prayers. I found a tick on her this morning, it is embedded between her nose & eye. It's in such a way that we can't get it ourselves. We are taking her to the vet first thing when they open. I just hope nothing has been transmitted. Poor thing was acting so stressed and anxious last night, wonder if it had been on her then. You definitely can't miss it this morning

She is on Frontline, so fingers crossed.

Good morning everyone. I'm dragging my feet this morning. I didn't feel well when I woke up so I took a couple of cold pills and went back to bed for a little bit. I'm running behind schedule now. And I think it's kind of hanging there by a thread at this point, I was able to get the tick remover in somewhat, I just can't get a good grip because of where it's located on her. I want the vet to get it out safely, and clean her up good [emoji169]

I just spoke to Adrian, and it is out! They just returned from the vet.

It was still alive, surprisingly. Which isn't good, because they said with the Frontline we apply every month, it should have been dead. I hope they're not becoming immune to it.
I will call & get some more information from them.

She did get another Lyme's Disease vaccination while she was there, she was due in two weeks, but I told Adi I wanted her to have it today. For our peace of mind, as well.

They said to keep a close eye on her, for any symptoms- I'll be watching her like a hawk [emoji170]

My friend down the street said that she pulled three ticks off of her dog Chloe last week!

We have a pretty intense Game 7 going on between the Rangers and Capitals! I don't know how I going to pull myself away from the TV at the 'Pines. I mean, I do not really cheer for either team, but good hockey is good hockey!

A long night here, just played catch up here I would have liked to replied to more posts but it took longer than I planned working on taking some songs out of my MP3 player and replacing them with new ones. So I will have some new tunes for the ride into work tomorrow!!!

Tomorrow will be a longer day, I work all day come home and head to East Longmeadow for JP's baseball game.We won't get home until somewhere close to 9pm. Ugghhhhh!

Wow, what a fantastic day yesterday.
The high was in the 70's, the humidity was bone low, there was no rain, lots of sunshine and only gentle breezes to stir things up a bit and keep it interesting.
(And yes, I DID get that mowing done. Not to mention weed eating and leaf blowing. The yard looks, and feels, great!)
A couple more nice days before the rain and humidity returns.
We stand just over 58 degrees here at this hour in the capital city.

Good Morning, MMC!!! One more nice day here with a high of 70 degrees. Then the summer heat returns along with the storm chances.
