Quitting time on Friday! Yippeee!!!
My sister says Mom is feeling overall better today! Yahoo!! Hope that continues!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!
TGIF, my Christmas friends!
Mom's birthday party was a success! We decided not to eat outside, though. It was threatening rain, plus the humidity and gnats. Bah! I grilled some burgers and 'dogs, Elizabeth made pasta salad, mom brought homemade salsa, and it was great! Jacob played guitar and Elizabeth sang, and mom loved it!
Jacob has a gig this evening, so we're heading that way after work.
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
Just got some terrible news ~ our friend & mechanic at the marina ~ his oldest son was killed in a car crash last night! UGH!!! Don't know any details other than that! I'm so sad for them!!! Our friend is divorced & he has 1 other younger son. Please keep them in your prayers.
Thank you so much.
My daughters have been so good to me. They brought me flowers, cards, stuffed animals, a Keepsake ornament and an engraved picture frame with one of my favorite shots of Molly. Love those girls.

Happy Friday Snowflake and hope you have a great weekend.
WooHoo!!!! Finally!!!!
Before my connection goes out again, I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!
HMG- You remain in my thoughts and prayers. (((Hugs)))
Holiday- Praying for your friends family. That is heartbreaking. I'm glad to hear that your mom is doing better.
Bradmac- Happy Birthday to your mom!!!
We've had some nasty storms here today. A bolt of lighting hit a 50 foot tree across the street from my apartment building a few hours ago and brought it down. Luckily, it broke and fell in a way that it missed that building by just a few inches. They say the storms tonight are going to be even worse so here's hoping they are wrong.
What sweet girls, bless their hearts [emoji177]
Prayers for you all~
Xo
Such sweet girls....sounds like they are taking great care of you. Sending prayers and (((HUGS)))

Holiday, keeping your friends in my prayers. I'm glad that your mom is better ~ will keep praying for her, too. Thank you for sharing the cookie recipe ~ looks yummy! Have a MERRY weekend!
HmG, what sweet daughters you have! Keeping all of you in my prayers. ((((HUGS))))
Brad, a very Happy Birthday to your mom!
Made, praying the storms will not be bad. Stay safe!
Coach, so excited for you, Doc and Bambina. Keeping all of you in my prayers.
Good evening, MMC!
Today is Palmer's 4th birthday! My brother and I had a small party for her this morning ~ before the heavy rain hit. She was a bit scared, but enjoyed her presents, food and jingle balls.
Today is also Mouse's Angelversary ~ I still miss her so much!
Since it was rather cool out today, I baked Tequila Lime Bars. Other than that, just taking care of busy work for the store.
Be MERRY!
Hey hey it's FRIDAY..... Java x a zillion!!! Yabba!!!
Good morning everyone. I only have a few minutes, my husband and I have an appointment in a little while with Molly's surgeon. There are a few things that need to be addressed and I was too distraught on Wednesday to discuss them. Other than that it will be a typical day here. Trying to stay close to Maggie, she seems lost without Molly here. Just trying to give her extra attention and love. I'll try and pop back in this afternoon. Hope everyone is well.
Good Morning, Excited Eve'ers.
But there's more to be excited about than just Weekend Eve.
Let's peruse the numbers:
Days to the Season: 154
Days to Christmas Day: 196
TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY!
That's when we arrive at the fifty percent Milestone to Christmas Day 2015.
(Well, I would say that's plenty to be excited about for one day!)
Even more warm and humid as we approach 90 degrees for our afternoon highs, with mid-90's predicted for the days ahead.
(With no rain in the forecast, it won't be long before the grass will start crunching under foot again.)
We have started this last day of the work week at 76 degrees here in the capital city of North Carolina.
Have a Fantastically Fabulous Friday, Friends!
Good morning MMC! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! I'm not sure that I'll be able to catch up on here since I was off work yesterday & I only work a half day today, but I'm sure going to try!!
I had a great day with Mom yesterday. She was feeling pretty good. She said she felt a little shaky in the morning but she looked & acted fine. After her afternoon nap, she felt great. We snapped, blanched & froze green beans. I fried, crumbled, & froze a pkg of bacon. We made cut out cookies. We had homemade tomato soup, grilled cheese, asparagus from the garden & melon my sister had cut up for lunch. She crocheted. We went to the "beauty parlor" ~ a cut for me, & mom had her hair done. We went to the grocery store. She sat outside with me while I hung clothes on the line, but we decided it was TOO HOT to stay out there. We went out for Mexican for supper with some of the family. Gracie was in heaven having Grandma over all day! It was a fun day! Here was Moms ride from my sisters house to our house on Wednesday night! cheesy
Have a Merry Friday everyone!!

I'll try to remember. A photo probably won't do it justice, though! I was thumbing through my collection last night and saw some postcards that I forgot I had. It's also fun trying to read the 100+-year-old messages on the back! One of them says (remember, it's a July Fourth postcard): "Hope you don't blow to pieces." Another one says, "Hully gee it's hot!" Some things never change!
