Thank you! Sorry again for my late update. We picked her up from the vet on Friday around 4 o'clock in the afternoon and she has been with us out at the lake all weekend. She seems to be doing well… She's on three different medications and a special food. They sent us home with both dried and canned form. I tried mixing them together and it is a no go! But she will eat the canned. So it looks like I'm going to have to get some more canned food. They still don't have all the lab work back but everything they've gotten back so far is coming up negative for everything they're testing for, so if it all comes back negative (which they feel it will) they want to do an ultrasound of her belly and kidneys. I do not have to contact the vet again unless if she starts having issues – they will contact me when all the reports are back. So I'm hoping and praying I have no reason to contact the vet! I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! Gracie was not too fond of the fireworks! I put her inside and turned on the air vent and turned on the radio & the TV! She was fine and we enjoyed them!

You all have a Sunday funday!

Sounds like a fun day!! [emoji631][emoji319]

We watched Christmas movies, grilled out with friends, played board games, watched fireworks from inside the house (we have a perfect view!) where we could drown out the noise for Harlowe and make sure she felt safe, and then watched more Christmas movies!

Have a fabulous day, CAH!!

We did the same exact thing for our dogs! We blasted our window unit AC on high, turned the fan on high and had the TV going. Our dog Maris is frightened of the fireworks. She had a few jumpy moments but overall did better this year than last.

Glad you all had fun!

Good Morning, Former Fourthers, Fast Forwarded to Fifthers.

I hope everyone had a great Fourth and is ready for the Fifth and beyond, all the way to Christmas Season 2015!

Today's figures:

Days to the Season: 131

Days to Christmas Day: 173

And yes, if you have been a faithful follower, you know that as of today......as of this very day.......we are down to SINGLE DIGITS to our next Milestone, the two-thirds Christmas Season marker, coming our way July 14!

Be there or be square.

Rainy again yesterday and as a result, not too hot. The humidity is up or course, but not to intolerable levels.

This second half of our weekend has commenced at 77 degrees here in the capital city of the great state of North Carolina.

Have a Super Sunday, Everyone!

Thank you Crown!
Hope you have a great day!!!

Oh, look, it's me on a Sunday afternoon! cheesy

How fun Merry! Our friends have a big Fourth of July pond party every year, which was Friday! They spends thousands on fireworks – it was an awesome show! Fireworks go off over the pond with patriotic music playing in the background and as soon as the fireworks are over they plays taps! Amazing! [emoji173]️

I would LOVE to see that! I especially love patriotic music with fireworks, rather than the music they usually seem to "choreograph" them to at big events. If we see them on TV, we turn off the sound and put on John Philip Sousa marches! The "Taps" bugle call at the end is a nice touch!

Would if I could! I have Hallmark movies and mysteries at home but not at the lake! [emoji53]

Is there a link or an app that would let you watch them online--?

Have fun at the cookout and I hope Maggie does OK today and tonight!

Thank you! I'm going to leave the tv on when I go out today, just in case. I'll definitely be home early too. I revolve my entire day around this dog!

How was everyone's 4th?

We had a nice day. My job was closed but we went in to feed all the critters. Afterward, came home and had a cookout while watching Moonshot and Apollo 13. Then headed to Starbucks for Frappes and went to the Arboretum. I was surprised it wasn't too miserably hot to be outdoors, it was actually nice out! We came home to watch TV from Hallmark Christmas movies and other shows. At nightfall we stepped outside to watch everyone blow off fireworks even though it is against the law for them to do that but it sure was pretty!

Funny thing is, here it is 4th of July and we both really wanted to go to the year round Christmas store. Wait! That really isn't that funny, you all get it don't you? Ha ha! Well, they were closed for the 4th so we might head out there next weekend. We did observe the 4th but throwing in a little Christmas is good anytime of year! cheesy

Have a Merry Day my Christmas Friends!

Glad to hear you had a fun Fourth! Plus a little Christmas!
We stuck to the patriotic theme, but that's how we roll here on the Fourth! After the holiday weekend, it's Christmas in July.

Fireworks here last night until well after midnight. Then we had baby cries at 2:00 and then at 4:30 until about 6:00.

I'm trying to talk myself into getting up, but I just don't know if I want to do that. LOL. It's beautiful here....81 degrees and a slight breeze. Think I'm gonna feel little girl lunch and go outside and play with her.

Baby is doing great. She is snoozing and so is her Momma...I've got taco soup cooking and we plan on watching either the race or the soccer match.

Y'all have a good day!

I feel the same way. I mute the non-patriotic music.

"A Capital Fourth" last night on PBS was not bad. Skipped over the "standard" music but three Sousa tunes were played
at the end and there were several other patriotic style songs earlier in the show.
