I started out to do some audio recording for a Christmas project, but our yard guy came around with his leaf blower ... oh, well. We need to have the gutters cleaned and the leaves swept up and removed. I got through about half of my recording, so I'll just put on my headphones and start editing and processing those files.

I still can't believe it. One more workweek, then it's Thanksgiving week! I'm excited but also frightened, because there's so much holiday prep to do and the time is getting shorter. My workplace will have its second annual office Thanksgiving on Monday the 23rd. The office provides the turkey, and the rest is potluck. I'm taking a batch of those cookies made with stuffing mix and dried cranberries. I'm taking off the day before Thanksgiving to string lights on the tree and get my Christmas cards organized. Thanksgiving weekend we'll be wrapping and packaging gifts that are being mailed. "Bizz-ee, bizz-ee, bizz-ee!"

You could always take it down and put it back up again...but you'd probably have too much fun doing that.

I hear you! My father-in-law and sister-in-law had stopped by to see Adrian while I was at work the other day, and thought I was nuts for having my Christmas up already and then Adrian had to go and tell them that I had had it up since November 1st! Ha ha!

I get weird looks when people find out that I've been listening to Christmas music since late July. But at work, I found a person who listens all year round, so that was nice to hear

So - in light of the horrible news in Paris tonight the 1st place I find myself wanting to visit is right here! Praying for all my MMC family! We should not have to live in fear!!! But all the same, it can be such a scary world! So thankful for MMC making this world a brighter place! Praying all of you & all your friends & family are safe!

My day started off a little weird with a call from my mom, telling me that my grandfather passed away earlier this morning. We may head over there a little later. He had been ill for quite some time and reached the admirable age of 91, so it feels like a conclusion rather than a sad end of a life. But it's strange, still.

Oh, Coen, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. (((HUGS)))
