** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 25 **

Good Morning, Folks.
Thus, we begin the start of the next-to-the-last week before Christmas Week.
The long journey is nearing its final stages, my Friends!

Days to Christmas Day: 18
Barely over 2 1/2 weeks left, now!

Not bad here yesterday, weather-wise. Plenty of sun, no rain or wind and temps above the usual seasonal chill.
Today has dawned clear again, with our thermometer reading 49 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone.
(And how about those 12-0 Panthers!)
Thanks, Crown!
Have a fantastic day!

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday!! At least it's a Monday during our favorite season!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!
Friday I shopped with my friend ALL day! We left around 8:30am & got home around 1:30am. Whew! So fun! Can't believe our annual shopping trip is over already - always look forward to that! Saturday morning our HS Football team played in the state championship game & got beat 22-20! :( I think they were stunned - they were back to back state champs, they were hoping for a three-peat! It was a good game & the other team seemed very deserving. It was a clean game (no dirty plays on the field like you find sometimes at the state level) It was hard not to be happy for them! Jim went to the game, I watched on the big screen in my warm house while putting more decorations on the tree! :) Saturday night we went to a holiday party at a lake neighbors house, which was very nice. Yesterday was candy day at Moms. It was a long day of standing, dipping stuff in chocolate. LOL! After everyone left Mom & I made 3 more batches of peanut brittle since the sun was shining. ;) We ordered salads for supper & by the time I got home the couch & a Christmas movie was awesome! I watched "The Bridge"... not realizing part 2 isn't going to be showing until NEXT Christmas. What the heck??!! :rolleyes:
Now I'm off to try to catch up a little! Everyone, have a Marvelous Monday!!!

Greetings fellow Christmas enthusiasts!

On Tuesday night, my last night following the conference, I had the good fortune to stumble upon the Christmas Market in the distillery district of Toronto, Ontario.

I doubt the photos I took on my cell phone turned out so I'll have to share an adorable experience with y'all through my written visuals.

Three of my colleagues and I were looking for a spot to grab something to eat, the rain was putting a damper on our festive mood so standing and eating at vendor booths wasn't going to work for us.

One of the ladies asked an Elf who was guiding young and old visitors to Santa's lap. She was adorable!

She replied in the most delightful elfish manner, "I couldn't possibly give you directions since I'm from the North Pole and have no knowledge of the surroundings. Perhaps you could keep your eyes open for a human person wearing a vest and a Christmas Market badge for access to a map." We thanked her and went on our way.

We admired the decorations while the smell of mulled wine and cinnamon spices filled the air and the sounds of the strolling carollers (Dicken's style) sang beautifully in our ears.

There were snowman statues here and there and we stopped to snap a photo and there was the Elf again posing with the snowman. She passed again a short time later speaking elf-tongue as she passed only speaking to herself. One of my colleagues suspected she had gotten into that mulled wine. I was on top of the world with gratitude for how awesome she was and how "in character" she became. I said, "She's not playing an Elf, she is an Elf. The best Santas do the same thing and I know many of them."

P.S. We met up with 2 more of our conference buddies and wound up having dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory that was a 20 minute walk for most, but we hit it in 12. Guess we were hungry.

Here's a link if you want to see what fun awaited us there. http://www.torontochristmasmarket.com/

We didn't have to pay to look around.

Sweet dreams Christmas chums; keep a merry thought in your head! :blinky:
That looks & sounds (& smells) amazing! I want to go!! :)

Congrats CS! That looks amazing! A well deserved 1st place! Such talent. I can't imagine how much time it took to put that all together!

Afternoon all, finally got the tree up in our house yesterday my toddler hasnt bothered with it too much just yet, we put it up whilst he was napping yesterday so was a lovely surprise for him when he woke up. Next project to get everything wrapped and under the tree
no toddlers here, but my cat Penny has been in the tree a few times already. I have lights on it, but still have to put up the decorations .

My fiancé found this on FB and tagged me in it. This is my favorite image and expresses my thoughts about the season.

"My dear precious Jesus, I did not mean to take your place,
I only bring toys and things and you bring love and grace.
People give me lists of wishes and hope that they came true;
But you hear prayers of the heart and promise your will to do.
Children try to be good and not to cry when I am coming to town;
But you love them unconditionally and that love will abound.
I leave only a bag of toys and temporary joy for a season;
But you leave a heart of love, full of purpose and reasons.
I have a lot of believers and what one might call fame;
But I never healed the blind or tried to help the lame.
I have rosy cheeks and a voice full of laughter;
But no nail—scarred hands or a promise of the hereafter.
You may find several of me in town or at a mall;
But there is only one omnipotent you, to answer a sinner’s call.
And so, my dear precious Jesus, I kneel here to pray;
To worship and adore you on this, your holy birthday."
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Good morning, holiday!
Happy Monday!
Wow… what a weekend! ;)
Sounds like it was very Christmasy and fun!
Hope you have a wonderful week!

Morning all a happy Friday. Tree shopping after work can't wait. Anyone see the Bill Murray special on Netflix yet?
We are hoping to watch it Saturday!

Morning, 'Tis~
Merry Friday!
Have fun tree shopping!
We plan to watch it tonight!
Have you seen it, yet?
Did you watch it & if so, what did you think?

Good morning friends. Busy weekend but I'm excited. After work today I'll be finishing and tieing up some loose ends with school and then tomorrow is graduation!
I'm actually not walking as that's really boring (in my opinion). So my commencement will be held at a local BBQ place where some friends and family are gathering for a little party. Who needs to be handed a fake diploma when I could be handed a plate of ribs?! :)
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy your Friday!
Congrats Ryan! Hope the ribs were yummy & the company good!!!

Good Morning and Happy Friday! Typical day of work today and my daughter has an ortho appt at 2:45. Not too much planned for the weekend. Tomorrow I am going to the outlets shopping with a girlfriend and we are going to have lunch. Sunday not too much. My little man, Leo was naughty today! He stole my daughter's pumpkin bread off her plate. I set it down and turned my back and he jumped right into the chair and grabbed it! Then last night he took 2 ornaments off my tree. I keep my cheapy ones at the bottom. He can be such a devil when you are not giving him the attention he wants..lol Have a great day! Three weeks from today!
Oh Leo ~ that cracks me up! Can't blame the guy = pumpkin breat!!! ;) Hope you had fun shopping with your friend!

I have a handful of Christmas videos on VHS and DVD yet I watch them on TV with the Christmas ads like a merry pro.
I am heading out in a few hours to do more Christmas shopping. I thought I was halfway through my list, alas I have more than half remaining to secure.
I'm not doing gift cards for the older grandchildren this year so it will take more time to be creative in what I choose for them.
My oldest grandson was sworn in as a police officer in Ottawa last Monday and his brother is going through training for his job as a firefighter. Where has the time gone? When did we go from buying and building flip-track roads to wondering what to buy these young men with careers?
Number 2 grandson also tinkers with vehicles, boats, trucks and is a handyman as well so his gift is around his hobby rather than his new job.
My second youngest granddaughter is taking horseback riding lessons and I'm ecstatic about it since I always wanted to do that when I was growing up. I have a beautiful painting of the Pony Club for her that I grabbed up at an auction.
I've got my merry thinking cap on for Number 3 grandson who can tackle any sport with ease and accuracy. He plays like a pro on hockey, soccer and baseball teams.
What I'm getting my parents individually and collectively has yet to be determined. My mom is easy to please, my father never gives any hints and often says, "I don't need anything." Perhaps a new Winnie the Pooh ornament for the tree will be added to his merry package. I grew up with his 100-acre wood mural painting (based on the map in the back of the book) on my bedroom wall. I was eleven or twelve before I let them wallpaper over it.

Stay jolly, everyone!

Prayers to keep your police man & firefighter Grandsons safe!! Thank them for their service! Having someone who can fix cars & a handy man in the family is handy! :D Have a good day AMD!

Good morning everyone! Just a quick hello, it's going to be a busy day for me. I have to take my mother for laser eye surgery today. I have lots of chores and errands to do as well, including a trip to the supermarket at some point. I have nothing in the house! I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. See you tonight!
