Well, the 2 hour delay from last night turned into CLOSED!!! Not because of the cold but the ice is really bad on the roads from yesterday. With the high winds and cold temperatures, the road crews could not keep the roads clear. So even my wife, who teaches at an in town school got to close. My school closed, which happens more often because I teach in a rural school district. Lots of open fields for snow to blow back across the road. In any case, another snow day!!!

Good evening,

We got our little touch of winter, maybe an inch of snow, but it is better than none. It was very pretty while coming down, felt very Christmassy.

Day off tomorrow, I think it is time to start taking down the first 2 trees. The 6.5 foot tree and the 3 foot tree are in my sights, but I really don't want them done for the season. I guess it is time to move on.
I hope you all had a great day, I am yawning up a storm, so I think I hear my pillow calling.

Goodnight, everyone.

Enjoy your day off!

Good morning! ❤️

Good morning Solice!
I hope you have a beautiful day!

This week is also the end of the semester, so we have an early dismissal (students only) on Friday. No School on Monday for Martin Luther King Day.
So the week looks like this: Monday-2 hour delay Tuesday-closed Wednesday- closed Thursday-should be open, but we will see;) Friday- early dismissal. Followed by a 3 day weekend, which includes Henry's 7th birthday on Saturday.
Tough week! :D

good morning all my merry friends !
Still buried here in lots of snow, more on the way but not to much more I hope. We are still under a snow squall watch. Not sure where it is supposed to come from as I do not see much on the weather radar, It is not to cold at only -12c (10f). Some areas have school buses cancelled for 3rd day in a row.
Off to work today
Stay safe, and have a great day CS!

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day to all and hope you are enjoying that we are into mid-week. It certainly got colder over night after our snow showers. But still when I think back to last winter this does not feel terrible. Yes it's cold and feels like winter but it does not feel like well...-13 snowflake? Or whatever insane temp you have this morning that we had the pleasure (or not) of experiencing here last winter. Nevertheless, it's Wednesday and I'm going to go to Applebees for dinner with my mom and bro/sis after work. Something to help me get over the hump of the week.
I hope everyone has a great 3rd day of the week and stays warm in these cold January days!
Enjoy dinner with your family! Happy Pines Day!

Merry Wednesday and Happy Pine's Day!
Temps continue to fall and I have to say it's taking some adjusting because the winter has been so mild up till now.
My youngest is home till he is well again. Hopefully I can get some work done today. Hoping to be inspired as I am a little stuck on something.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Happy early Birthday to Henry!!

Good Morning, Friends.

Creeping ever closer to our first Milestone of 2016. More about that, presently.
First:
Days to the Season: 305
Days to Christmas Day: 347

And the numbers inform us that we have but FIVE days remaining until we arrive at the 300-day Christmas Season Milestone.
Once we step through that Window, a 200's level count sequence begins -- the first indication of just the beginning of an acelleration to the next upcoming Season!

(But perhaps I wax a bit too eager this early in the game. There's plenty of time.....plenty of time......isn't there?)

A bit warmer yesterday, but it came with some wind.
(After cleaning up the yard earlier, there are now fresh leaves, sticks and pine cones to clear away.)
Today will be a cold one -- it has started off at 30 degrees for the third day in a row, and may not get too much warmer all day.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Very Vivacious Visit to the Shispering Pines this evening, where Carl is ready as ever with the fired twinkies, the sweet southern iced tea and entertainment, the likes of which you probably have not seen before and likely never will again.
Don't miss it!

Good morning Edge, Happy Pines Day!
We never got those snow flurries last night. They're saying maybe tomorrow morning, we'll see what happens. I hope your day goes well. Have a nice time at dinner tonight!

Happy Pines Day Crown!
Thank you! Hope you have a great day!

I must be an oddball, all I wear in the freezer is a zip up hoodie. I am comfortable in the -10*f air. :shiver

The cold really does not seem to bother me either. We are having -15 degree wind chills now and while it is cold, I have little problem dealing with it. I tend to keep the house cool, or cold as everyone else in the family thinks. It is the summer heat I cannot deal with. Once it is over 75 I feel like I am melting. Maybe I am part snowman!?!?
