200 Days to go!!!!!We are marching right on ahead!

Good morning!! It sure is Monday!! Are we REALLY UNDER the 200 days till Christmas marker??? Holy smokes!!!!! That helps the "Monday mood" :???:
Did you all see the GREAT news?? www.topsecretrecipes.com has a clone recipe for TWINKIES :merry:
Well, it was a HOT one this weekend!! The ol AC felt pretty darn good! Thank goodness there was a breeze all weekend! I couldn't drink my coffee yesterday morning either! I tried, but it was too darn hot! I settled for a green tea instead! That is SO not like me to NOT drink my coffee in the morning!!!

It looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do here again today! Another busy weekend at MMC! Stay cool all!

Have a good day!

June 25.
That's the 1/2 marker to Christmas Day, this being a leap year.
Thanks for pointing that out, Dom.
I was focusing on the Season marker chart and forgot that the all-important half-way "Day" marker arrived earlier!
As such, our next milestone is actually only 16 days away!

Good Morning!

Days to the Season: 157
Days to Christmas Day: 199
Ouch! My fingers are sore from changing all three digits on the Day figure!
Doesn't that dual set of "100's" look nice?

Whew!! 100 degrees on Saturday, 101 on Sunday and 102 predicted for today.
Hey? Anyone interested in going to Alaska with me for the week?
(Your Treat)

Have a Marvelous Monday, everyone!

Greetings from Tornado Central! ~ Wow!

We dodged funnel clouds ALL week-end...I was helping out at a music camp and around 4 pm. while the classes were in session, the sky turned black & green (that odd color combination before the storm) the sirens went off on the campus. All two hundred or so of us piled into the basement ( the hot, stuffy basement) and waited...and waited...and waited.... I guess the funnel cloud hit down 10 miles away but just missed the college.
I was raised in Michigan and I can't remember ever really "going to the basement" for shelter. I wasn't really scared, more worried about my horses.
Another hot humid day...hope everyone stays cool & comfortable...

Here, catch this!

Good Morning All....I agree with the other members. We are indeed cruizin' right along with the countdown to Christmas. Like I said before...before we know it we will be decorating and buying gifts, baking and all that other fun stuff! I can't wait! A little better weather here today. Blue skies, a little wind and the hi being almost 70. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Wow Cedar! I am glad you and everyone at camp are ok. Sounds like it was really close to you all. How scary...I would be freaking out! *L*

cheesy
Hey, Cedar - did you catch the Belmont Stakes yesterday?
"and they're off".

Yes Auntie, I managed to run home when we got let out of the basement and checked on everything. Turned the race on just in time to see poor Big Brown come in LAST! Trainer Dutrow was SO cocky about his horse...saying that it was a 'foregone conclusion' that BB would win!

Guess old "Karma" strikes again!

They did pay some tribute to Eight Belles which was nice to see.

*Hi Annette!
Ya know, I was more uncomfortable than scared...it was so beastly hot down in that basement and two hundred people radiating heat...well, some people didn't have deodorant on. Phew.

LOL!

Dramatic twister photo, Cedar.
I assume it's from The Wizard of Oz but do not recall a scene being exactly like that. Was that a promo shot?

Glad to hear that you are alright Cedar. We were wondering where you were. Missed seeing you here.

Well we are getting closer & closer to the holiday season,so looking forward to decorating again.

You are so right! As fast as summer goes, it will be here before we know it!

geesh Cedar be careful! You need to walk around with rocks in your pocket just in case ;)
Hope everyone is having a great start to the week, seeing those 1's in front of our countdown to Christmas should put a smile on everyones face. Have a good tuesday!

Good morning!!! :hi: We made it through another Monday! We had some wild weather again last night. It got so windy again! Ripped the awning off our neighbors trailer (at the lake) ~ that is the 2nd time this year they have lost an awning. The wind took it this past winter & he just had a new one put up a few weeks ago! ARGH! Ah well...nobody was hurt & that's what matters.

I hope you all have a good Tuesday!! It's looking like a rainy one here!!

Happy Tuesday everyone, Sunny, hot & humid again today with a chance of severe thunderstorms this afternoon & tonight.

We are past the 200 day count & getting closer & closer to the holiday season.

Good morning Cedar, crown, Holiday, Maureen, Auntie, Binger, Jay, Dom & everyone else here. Have a tall glass of iced coffee & enjoy the day.

....And if you can make it through Monday, you can make it through any day, right Holiday?

Days to the Season: 156
Days to Christmas Day: 198
The 1/2 Chritstmas Day mark is 2 weeks from tomorrow.

Whew! Double Whew! Nay, Triple Whew! (Or should that be Triple Dog Whew?). Three consecutive days with the temp at 100 +. A 4th day predicted for today, then finally a "cool" 90 for Wednesday (the day my AC is set to be fixed!)

Have a Terrific Tuesday, my hot friends!
