Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning MMC! "Happy" Monday!! Whew - looks like I have a lot of catching up to do from the weekend!

We had a nice time Friday night eating Mexican w/ my brothers/sisters/in-laws & Mom. Delish! Saturday Jim ended up working on the farm so we never made it to the memorial gathering, but Mom came over for lunch with me instead. Yesterday we had a good turn out for Moms birthday brunch (best meal of the year ) And today is her birthday!!

She kept saying "I don't know why we have to celebrate my birthday so many times" LOL!

And now it's back to the grind.... I think Gracie has an ear infection. Poor girl! I have some stuff at home I'm using but if it doesn't help, I'll have to make an apt at the vet.

I have been using the Cold Eeze lozenges, and they seem to be helping.
My friend just brought me some honey lavender tea, and it's soothing my throat.

Honey and lavender tea ... sounds very soothing.

Happy February! Happy Monday! More like April out there today than January, but I like it.

Had an all-day headache yesterday that was hard to get rid of and left me feeling light-headed and spacey and tired when it was finally gone later in the evening. Still feel a bit that way this morning. A headache hangover?

I hope those ill effects from your headache soon passes. You take it easy too today. Drive carefully. Nothing worse than having to drive when you are feeling like that. Hope you get lots of rest after work. It sounds like you could do with it.

Agreed. But I liked Fear too. But the TWD is #1. Just so you know once the 8 weeks of TWD ends FTWD picks up the following Sunday right up to Memorial Day weekend. That's the first half of their season 2.

Yeah, I do like that there are some dead walking pretty much all the time now. LOL

Did you follow FTWD's online short episodes? Not bad.

And the revelation?
Well it hit me out of the blue that the DAY AFTER TOMORROW, we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to the 1/4 Season marker, our second Milestone of 2016.
Hallelujah!


Downright spring like here yesterday, with our high in the afternoon reaching just above 71 degrees.
Couple that with plenty of sun and gentle breezes and you have the recipe for a wonderful last day of January!
The new month has commenced here at 53 degrees.

Ground beef, rice, shredded cabbage, tomato sauce. I don't know if you've ever had stuffed cabbage, same ingredients just in a casserole.

I've made this before. Turned the leftovers into soup by adding beef broth and seasoned tomato sauce. It was yummy!

Im currently staying in Northern Ca ,woow Nelly..we don't have rain like this in AZ.
Except 10 minute monsoon storms every now and then.

Im still recovering from Last year..3 major surgeries and more to come.

Its one day at a time here ;lol. And I am Greatful.

Hello my Christmas friends. Haven't posted few weeks. but gotta tell you i saw 2 houses with Christmas lights still on. isn't that something. Had their Santa and snowman up lol

How fun is that!!! People here do it all wrong. Haven't seen a Christmas light (except for the lights on my brothers memorial tree in our back yard) since about Jan. 6th. Enjoy!!
