Poor guy, glad he will be on an antibiotic to help him heal, oxygen too.
Continued prayers for him, friend.
Hugs to you.

Harlowe did eat a few bites for Reggie this morning. So I was happy about that, although I wish she'd eat way more than that! She is losing a lot of weight.
When I got home at lunch, she was very wobbly. I encouraged her to come outside for me, and I took her around the little block, we moved very slowly. She finally did what I needed her to do, it has been 5 days, but it scared me so I called the vet. And am having it tested. (Sorry, putting this as politely as possible) I hope to hear back today, and get some answers. Although I'm also scared to hear. When I left the house, she was still trembling and for the first time this week, followed me to the door. Made me sad. Reggie should be there now, checking on her. Hope she's drinking plenty of water.
Well my brother went to visit him and sent me a video. He looked like himself and even barked in the video a few times. Nurse said he's on a stronger antibiotic today and that they are trying to kick out any small infection his lungs may have from the touch of pneumonia he got. If it helps him enough by tomorrow he may be able to come home. I'm not counting on it cause I don't want to get my hopes up but I'd love nothing more than to have him home for the weekend to stay in with him in the bitter cold.

And I really hope Harlowe has a breakthrough soon. I think one day could turn it all around. I hope it comes very soon!

Poor Harlowe. Sending up prayers, I hope she takes the antibiotics for you and that the medicine works quickly. Keeping you both in my thoughts Snowflake. Sending hugs your way.
xo
Thank you, friend. I've got a good feeling about this ❤️
Hugs back!

So glad that he was looking like himself in the video, and showing spunk too!
Praying that the stronger antibiotic works it's magic quickly for him. And fingers crossed he can come home tomorrow, too.
Prayers for you all.
*hugs*

Thanks, Edge. I think that breakthrough started tonight! Long road ahead, but tonight has filled me with hope and encouragement!

Well, I just talked to Har's vet. She has A LOT of the bad bacteria in her, I can't remember the different names. It can be stress induced, illness induced, or something she came in contact with. She needs to go on antibiotics immediately. I will pick them up tonight, I pray I can get her to take them.

We are all with you in this. I hope that you were successful in giving Harlowe her antibiotics. Sending more positive thoughts your way.

Good evening, friends~
We have had a GOOD night!
I came home and my girl was still a little shaky, but ate a treat in front of me. Good prequel to the rest of the night so far. Then we went outside and I was hoping she'd walk past the driveway, which she did, so we went on a walk. We went the whole way around our neighborhood this time, with her leading me. She seemed to enjoy sniffing & investigating the other scents again. Another good sign.
Then we came home and unpacked her care package from our friends. She seemed curious, so I cut up the hamburger and started the stove. We threw in some of the beef broth from Michelle and Gracie, and she was interested in it cooking the whole time. Another yeah! moment.
I let her smell the fork I was using, which got her even more interested. Then while I was cutting it up, I gave her just enough to stay interested. Then I took her new medicine (thank God it's small) and wrapped it in some hamburger, and hand fed it to her.! She didn't even realize.
{So ecstatic because I've done that before & she always detected it, little stinker.}
She ate pretty darn well considering she's eaten so little in the past five days.
She even got a little spunky afterwords, so I know that food gave her a little bit of energy and strength. Yay!!!!!!!
Like I said earlier, we have a long road ahead but at least we can face it head on when she's stronger.

*****Thank you again for all of your kindness, support, and prayers*****

Harlowe thanks you, too ❤️

Dogs are very resilient as Nitro was today and as you saw Har was this evening. They're awesome. I'm glad that Har had a great night. I hope it continues Friday and through the weekend! And yeah I do hope Nitro comes home...but if he can't I'm gonna go visit him myself!
