Merry Pines MMC!! I am happy to report that my computer is up and running...hopefully it will stay that way! We had a crazy storm late afternoon...it was so windy that it blew our VERY heavy stainless steel grill off our deck and the rain was so heavy. Just working today and hopefully getting a quick workout in. My hubby is working late tonight so I think I am going to make spagehetti and meatballs for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

I hope Gracie's groomer appointment goes well. Does she go every two weeks?
I'm glad your mom was in better spirits last night. Sending up prayers for a good morning report!

Thank you HMG! Seems mom takes a step forward & 2 steps back! Hope she does ok with this new antibiotic Cipro. They say it can make you batty...and she doesn't do well on meds. I'm going to sneak up to see her at lunch after I drop Gracie off at the groomer. YES, Gracie goes every 2 weeks! Seems crazy, but she does not like to let us brush/comb her very often at all. She gets a bath & combed out every 2 weeks & she gets groomed every 6-8 weeks. She only charges $10 for a bath/comb out, so that's worth it to me! And when it's grooming time, it's so much easier on the groomer if she's not full of knots.The biggest pain is just getting her there & picking her up every other week...which isn't bad either since I taker her at lunch & pick her up right after work. How often does Maggie go?

Continued prayers for your mum. I hope you get some good news today and she starts improving quickly. Think I need a trip to the beauty parlour too. I have been needing a hair cut for ages! I may have to go along with Gracie next time LOL

I can just see Kelly's (the groomers) face when you show up for a hair cut!! Ha ha ha! Gracie goes 3-4 times to my 1. I could use a cut too. Maybe I'll ask her about hat today. LOL

Thinking of everyone who is still suffering illnesses or trouble ... happy to read that at least some of them are on the mend.

As for me, the doctor's office sent me a HUGE bill for an exam that should have been 100% covered by insurance. I believe they must have submitted the wrong insurance info. I have to call and get them to straighten that out.

But the sun is shining, it's going to be in the 40s today, and it's Pines Day!

I've been dealing with health insurance vs. doctor's office vs. flexible spending account people all morning, too. Good luck to you!

Merry Pines Day!
We're going to have sun and clouds today, with temperatures in the lower 40's. Not too much going on here, I have to run to Bed, Bath & Beyond to pick something up. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. My friends mother passed away a couple of days ago, we will be attending the wake this evening and the funeral tomorrow morning. The family is pretty stunned, she wasn't even sick. They think she died from an aneurysm. So sad.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day. Thoughts and prayers for all of you ♥

I'm sorry for your friend's loss. It's especially difficult when it's unexpected. We never know when it's going to happen. I try my best to stay prepared to go when the Lord calls. I hope I'm good enough!

Good Pinesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Lulu got lucky and didn't get her bath yesterday. We got busy going through old pictures for the high school annual. Jacob is a senior this year, and they do a full page for each senior with baby pix, and other pix that we like. I stayed up till midnight looking through those old pictures I haven't seen in forever. LOL

It's another beautiful day here, sunny and pushing 70°F. It's supposed to stay that way for several days.

I don't blame you for bringing Gracie in every two weeks, that makes total sense. Maggie goes every four weeks. Her hair tangles easily so I keep it on the shorter side. But not too short, we like her fluffy!

Thanks HMG! We are the same way - we like to keep Gracie fluffy! I'm sure this summer we will go shorter again, so hopefully we can cut back on the grooming trips. Maybe if she didn't love to dig around in the snow/mud/mulch/dirt so much she wouldn't get so knotted!!

Well, what a difference a day makes!
Temps well into the 50's yesterday contrasted with the low 30's on Monday.
Clear skies replaced leaden ones.
Sleet and freezing rain superceded by wonderfully dry conditions.
(Mother nature was clearly in a great mood!)
Today has commenced at 43 clear degrees and we are determined to keep Ms. Nature feeling good!


Have a Wonderful Wednesday at the Shispering Pines where Carl, as usual, will be waiting at the door with that first complimentary fired twinkie and your choice of sweet iced tea or a shot of his latest experimental coffee blend.
