TGIF, my Christmas friends!

Nancy and her mom both have had the stomach flu this week, but her mom is still trying to plan Bernie's HUGE birthday party for tonight. She's inviting the whole family. I know that doesn't sound to awful, but Nancy is the baby of 6 siblings. And they all have kids, and most have grandkids. We are talking about 50 people in Mrs. Hilda's house tonight! With germs floating around!

Nancy's trying to get out of going, so we'll see how it goes.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

I would be furious if I was invited to a party with stomach flu on the menu
Would have left immediately. Would have been unforgivable..
Stomach flu have a 48th hour rule. Have to be well (no symptoms) for 48 hours
before you can meet people without infecting them

But HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Bernie!!!:D
.

No tears in my daughter's knee...it's a growth plate irritation. She's got a different brace that locks so she'll be able to bend her knee a bit, but not too far. She has another appointment in 2 weeks for a checkup. She can have the brace off if she's resting, but needs it on when she's moving around and needs to continue to use the crutches and cannot put weight on her leg. I was worried that she did something to her ligaments so I am relieved that there'll be no surgery. She still wants to play sports and while she's upset that she won't be able to play basketball for her school, she's happy that she'll most likely be able to play soccer (her favorite) next quarter. She was worried that she may have had to miss playing sports the rest of the school year. Seeing her in so much pain while they were checking the strength of her knee made me almost physically sick. But for how she went into the boards and hurt herself and with her knee being so sensitive to the touch, I couldn't have asked for a better diagnostic.
So glad there are no tears and no surgery. Hope she is on the mend soon!

Happy Saturday my Christmas friends! I fell asleep early last night so I was up too early for a weekend! We have my daughter's game at 9 and then I need to catch up on laundry and hoping to get to the gym. I think we are going to go out to dinner around 6 or so. Have a great day!

Good Saturday Morning MMC! Here we are on the last weekend of February. This weekend seems to be a more laid back one for me. Next weekend I will most likely be busier but that's ok. The 2 following weekends I'll be off on Friday so I'll have back to back 3 day weekends! It's gonna be great but first things first...I just wanna enjoy this Saturday. When I got home yesterday I looked outside and was like wow it's so bright out still. You can just see how the days are getting longer and longer. It's an awesome feeling. I'm looking forward to a lot of stuff in the spring and summer...love both those seasons so much and yet they aren't even the BEST season of the year which begins with the bers. I hope everyone at MMC enjoys their weekend!
Have a great SATURDAY my friends. Maybe pop in a Christmas video if you have a little time!

Good Morning, Milestone Approachers.

The daily numbers:
Days to the Season: 260
Days to Christmas Day: 302

And that second number makes it crystal clear that, as of the day after tomorrow, we will be passing through the 300-day Christmas Day Window and into the double-200's portion of our voyage back to the Christmas Season.
(Are we excited, yet?)

Chilly but calm here yesterday, conditions which facilitated the collection of storm debris from our yard. I filled 6 barrels with branches, pinecones and one rather large limb which fell onto our bird feeder, bending its support bracket at nearly a 90 degree angle. Once this was straightened and a new tree limb selected, our back yard birds (and of course, squirrels) are back to feasting again.
We have started out today cold at 32 degrees, but with lots of sun and the promise of warmer weather to come very shortly.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone!

We are back to snow on the ground here. Rained all day Thursday, then snowed that night and off/on lake effect all day Friday.

Good Morning!!! Figured I would hope on now while I am enjoying my coffee. We are tackling the kids bathroom today .. repainting, taking of the shower doors and installing a curtain rod and shower curtain. Hoping to have it all done today.
