Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning!
Happy Monday!
It's going to be mostly sunny and warm today with a high of 73 degrees. My husband opened the pool yesterday. It looks like a swamp right now, it always does when he first takes the cover off. It will clear up in a few days, I can't wait until it does. It's so nice to look out back and not see that ugly pool cover. Anyway, not too much going on here today. I'm going to take Maggie for a walk as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. I'm going to take a ride to Target at some point to pick up a few things. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores. My youngest still has another week of telephone standby for jury duty! That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

I refuse to open my pool until the pecan trees finish dropping these:

My trees drop zillions of these in the spring along with the pollen, and it's all light enough to blow into the pool. Such a pain!

Merry Monday all,
Back to routine this week. The kids are back at school. I am much better so will be catching up with a few things I've fallen behind with and keeping up with everything else

It's really cold at the moment. Last week's temps were really mild and I thought the cold was behind us but I was wrong. Saturday we had snow/hail/sleet and the past couple mornings have been frosted over. I am ready for warmer weather, I really am!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had a great Sunday at mom's, except that Nancy couldn't be there. It Tax Season, don't you know? LOL Her sister is a CPA AND her employer, so all I ever hear about is Tax Season. Anyway, today is that last day of that for a while, thank goodness!

We had a great lunch, then my brother and I worked on the tractor's rotary cutter (got it going!). Then we did some target practice. I miss being in the country sometimes, so I could go out and shoot skeet or targets whenever I feel like it. After that, we went home. Elizabeth and I cleaned the pool furniture, and had a great time outside.

Har is doing okay, the best she can <3

We hit 80 degrees both days this weekend, and I see her struggling a bit more in the heat. It was the same with the extreme cold. So, I turned the AC on to help, but she still laid on the tile both days to keep cool-she definitely was breathing much heavier.

She coughed a lot again on Friday, into Saturday, so I started the Furosemide again on Saturday morning. After two doses, I noticed less coughing. And last night, she didn't cough at all. Of course, we were up every two hours but it's worth it if she isn't coughing.

Good afternoon MMC! It's been "one of them mornings" I stayed with Mom last night so I came into work a little late. And Emma has a clogged ear, so I need to take her to a NP at 3:45 (will have to leave work a little early - oh darn!) Such a beautiful day! It was so hard to come in!!! It's a slow day at work,, but still things that need to be done, so hopefully the day will go fast!
