Hello dear friends! I've been MIA last week because my work got crazy, my husband is in Israel until Wednesday, and a lot of friends lost loved ones this week so we've all been trying to manage together here! What a busy one! But thank goodness for good friends! We're doing okay now.

I hope you all are doing well. The Christmas in July announcements have me SO excited!!!

Hello everyone! It's been too long since I posted on this thread. (I know, I know, shame on me.) Final academic year really got me this time! Speaking of which, I've thought about something earlier today. I registered on MMC in September 2012 - right after I came to Scotland to start the university. I've now finished it! Well, I'm technically graduating in July but all of my assessments are now the thing of the past. It's exciting and a bit sad at the same time but I can conclude (wow, that sounds really academic! ^^) that MMC has been there throughout the journey. I'm very grateful for that. :} (This post probably has no relevance at all but oh, well.)

Sad I missed a Milestone Day! I personally am celebrating the first day that we are on the descent to the Christmas season again! How thrilling!

I love Deadpool, watched it last night on Blu ray, saw it twice in the theater. I saw that Krampus is rated PG-13, so I will try that hopefully soon. I am a big wuss when it comes to horror movies. (and aliens)

Big wuss here as well. My husband is a huge fan of horror movies so when we met, I really tried watching scary films with him. I found that I could "tolerate" slasher-type movies, but anything to do with ghosts or possessions or creatures from the other side totally creep me out to the point where I now refuse to watch those types of films for my own mental health. The Ring in particular totally did me in. But Krampus was alright. And Deadpool was great entertainment. We also watched The Hateful Eight (not really my taste) and Bridge of Spies, which I really enjoyed.

I am starting the week off on a high note, I'm so happy that Harlowe had a good weekend & is tolerating the new heart meds so well. God is good.

Bonus that I got to relax some, too.

When we stopped by the house, we found our wood & tile floors, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, doors, window ledges, lighting, bathroom vanities, and laundry cabinets all installed. Holy Toledo! That all happened since Tuesday. It was so exciting! It's really starting to feel cozy, and that it's ours.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

We have a new high school graduate living in house now! He had a great ceremony yesterday, then we went home with extended family and friends for a huge Low Country Boil. Jacob ate all the crab legs he could hold LOL. Then he left to go see a movie with some of his friends. I noticed that his car wasn't in the garage when I went to work this morning, though. Long night at the theater, eh?

Must have been in the air. We had neighbors & friends over Friday night on the patio & we grilled chicken wings. Gracie jumped up on the table & grabbed a mouth full of wing bones!! She was so fast! I picked them all up, but 1 got stuck in the very back of her mouth. I got it out & she is ok, but the little boogers...

Relieved to hear that Gracie was ok. I am learning with Loki that I can never turn my back on him for a second when food is involved.

It's been very cold these past two days. I can't wait for some heat and sunshine. It was a pretty uneventful Monday. Wishing everyone a nice eveninf.

I really do think though in all seriousness a 3 day weekend is perfect. That 3rd day makes a difference in the amount of errands and rest you can get in...but you're not out of work too long that it makes it difficult to go back or anything.

I get 20+ three day weekends a year. And it does make things a little simpler. I try to schedule appointments on Fridays as well go to the bank, renew tags, vote early, go to the grocery, etc... Everyone should have at least 2 a month.

We need to start a petition at MMC to get a 4 day work week.

Not sure how long it will take him but I promise I'll post pictures when it's finished!

DD's birthday is June 2nd and Hobby Lobby usually has some Christmas decor out before then, so it shouldn't be long!

DD is at work with me today---strep throat. Why is it that you take the kid in for a well visit & the next few days they end up sick? We went in Friday to have stitches taken out & Saturday morning she as a fever, vomiting, and sore throat. She didn't leave the house until last night to get more medicine. She's had a time of it the last two weeks. She missed a field trip today, but it was to a local park, so she wasn't upset. That made it easier for her to come to work with me. Just four more full days of school....let's get through this!

Wanting to watch something Christmasy soon. I'm starting to get back into the mood.
