Despite the chilly temperatures and winds, I went to the park with Loki this morning for a long walk. The little bugger ate two muffin wrappers this morning (we ate muffins for breakfast and had left the wrappers on the coffee table while cleaning up, turned our backs for a minute and they were gone) but he's doing fine.

Must have been in the air. We had neighbors & friends over Friday night on the patio & we grilled chicken wings. Gracie jumped up on the table & grabbed a mouth full of wing bones!! She was so fast! I picked them all up, but 1 got stuck in the very back of her mouth. I got it out & she is ok, but the little boogers...

Heater running now..lol. I am doing smoked baby back ribs today and bacon mac n cheese in the smoker..gunna be tough on the charcoal with this cold.

My girls all have off today, that rarely happens these days. Looking forward to spending some time with them. I'm going to make lasagna for dinner. My husband is building a gazebo outside, he'll be working on that today. Can't wait to see it finished!

Last Autumn was warmer than normal. But usually September starts out warm 70s/80s sometimes for highs then by October we get more 60s for highs and some 50s by Halloween/November then 40s and well yeah from there the highs get into winter time type by Christmas except last year when it was 65 degrees lol.

Hello everyone! It's been too long since I posted on this thread. (I know, I know, shame on me.) Final academic year really got me this time! Speaking of which, I've thought about something earlier today. I registered on MMC in September 2012 - right after I came to Scotland to start the university. I've now finished it! Well, I'm technically graduating in July but all of my assessments are now the thing of the past. It's exciting and a bit sad at the same time but I can conclude (wow, that sounds really academic! ^^) that MMC has been there throughout the journey. I'm very grateful for that. :} (This post probably has no relevance at all but oh, well.)

yes, it snowed today ! Not a lot and is thankfully disappeared as soon as it hit the ground, but it did snow.

I love Deadpool, watched it last night on Blu ray, saw it twice in the theater. I saw that Krampus is rated PG-13, so I will try that hopefully soon. I am a big wuss when it comes to horror movies. (and aliens)

I have not heard of Krampus before, but now I am interested!

I went to Hobby Lobby today to see if I could find any Christmas decorations on the shelves yet. But there were none. But I did see a sign that it won't be long. They always keep the earliest Christmas "stuff" in peach baskets on top of the merchandise shelving. And I saw empty beach baskets everywhere. Last year there were ornaments on display before Memorial Day. So it won't be long.

DD's birthday is June 2nd and Hobby Lobby usually has some Christmas decor out before then, so it shouldn't be long!

DD is at work with me today---strep throat. Why is it that you take the kid in for a well visit & the next few days they end up sick? We went in Friday to have stitches taken out & Saturday morning she as a fever, vomiting, and sore throat. She didn't leave the house until last night to get more medicine. She's had a time of it the last two weeks. She missed a field trip today, but it was to a local park, so she wasn't upset. That made it easier for her to come to work with me. Just four more full days of school....let's get through this!

Wanting to watch something Christmasy soon. I'm starting to get back into the mood.

Yesterday it snowed ~ lovely way to celebrate the half-way point!!
Frost on the trucks this morning ~ hopefully the fruit trees will be okay. Lots of blossoms on the pear and early apple tree. Could be a bumper crop this year. The lilacs are opening up ~ gorgeous here at this time of the year.

Busy week ahead of me work-wise. I also have to find the time to do some spring cleaning/organizing. Should be fun! This week is also the big city-wide garage sales I like to go to every year. Can't wait!!

I hope your fruit tree's were not affected by the frost this morning. Crazy! My co-worker is/was so worried about his peach trees. I didn't ask him yet today if they were damaged. Hope not!

I am starting the week off on a high note, I'm so happy that Harlowe had a good weekend & is tolerating the new heart meds so well. God is good.

Bonus that I got to relax some, too.

When we stopped by the house, we found our wood & tile floors, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, doors, window ledges, lighting, bathroom vanities, and laundry cabinets all installed. Holy Toledo! That all happened since Tuesday. It was so exciting! It's really starting to feel cozy, and that it's ours.
