And wonder of wonders, we now find ourselves precisely ONE WEEK away from the 200-day Christmas Day Milestone, the next marker on our chart.
Then, BOTH of our counts will number in the 100's. And you know what that means -- a faster track yet towards the return of our long-awaited and much-coveted Christmas Season!


Warm and humid weather continues, but the predicted rain yesterday did not arrive.
No matter, of course. It will come in due time, probably today.
Right now, we preceive 71.6 degrees here on our digital back door thermometer.


Ah, Carl! He knows a new month has arrived (as has 'Pines Day, of course).
And with this being the first "official" Summer month, our friendly activities director has appropriate entertainment planned.
Now that the 'Pines pool is open, I'm sure that at least some of the activities will center around it.
But to see, you must be.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Jacob got home late yesterday afternoon from St. Simon's Island. He and his band spent the day at the beach after their gig on Monday night. He put sun screen everywhere...except his face. LOL That boy's face is red! It didn't slow him down, though. He took a shower, ate supper, and left with a guitar for a buddy's house. Ah, the days of no worries are almost too far behind me to remember.

Happy Pines Day!
I have an appointment today with a new neurologist. Still trying to find relief from these migraines. Have a few other symptoms going on as well, hoping I can get some answers. I'll be trying to catch up with my daily chores afterward. Today is also my Daddy's birthday, we'll be heading to my parents house this evening to celebrate!

Alright, alright, alright (said in my best Matthew McConaughey voice)! School is out for summer! I'm sitting home, watching Star Wars, and thinking about Christmas. Summer time is great for me...for obvious reasons...but one reason that isn't so obvious is that I really start doing a lot of planning and work on Christmas during summer break. When we start back in August, things typically go so fast that I need to be organized and having everything mapped out up until Christmas. This time of year, although hot, really leads me into the season on the best foot possible. To top it off, Christmas in July will be here before we know it!

Happy Pines Day, MMC!!!! Not to much going on here. I've just been working around the apartment and trying to stay cool. They keep saying that it's going to cool down starting tomorrow and I sure hope so. My sister took mom to get her hearing aids adjusted so that at least saved me one trip out. I plan on keeping it low key at the Pines tonight. I still haven't fully healed from last weeks party. So if anyone see's me going for one of Carl's special blends, stop me!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

The guy was actually honest and instead of trying to sell a bigger AC he said to stick with what we use now. Cost of a bigger AC unit would literally take years to recover over the cost of how much our window AC in bedroom costs per year to use. I knew the central just wasnt big enough and our bedroom is the last on the vent system.

Otherwise, just stop going there if you don't like it. In fact if you think your way is so much better, go start your own and do it yourself. If it truly is better, everyone will start coming there instead. If you are just going to keep back to the same place expecting different results though, then you are insane and maybe it's your problem and not theirs. So stop bringing it up!!!

Some people just don't get it, and never will. It's part arrogance, need for control, ignorance and narrow mindedness.
Not everything has to be done the same way, if it was, just think how boring & monotonous life would be.
