We had a power outage that affected most of the county this morning, and we're finally getting back to normal. I don't know what caused it, but it was obviously pretty serious.
I went to lunch with some of the folks in the office today. Unless a vendor or the company is buying, I usually go home for a sandwich, but I've decided to go with Russell more often. It's difficult to watch him already struggling with ALS. His right hand is so weak now, he can't open a door or eat with it, and he can barely write. Bless his heart, I wish I could help.
But, he's always in a good mood and interested in the job. I'm not sure I could be, in his position. He's a stronger man than I.
The kids went to another VBS last night, then they jumped in the pool when they got home. I don't know what time they came in, but it was way after I went to bed. Ah, to be young again!

The walk-through went great~
Our home looks so beautiful! It's amazing to see everything completed, and looking so spiffy & sparkly.
The last couple of weeks have been so stressful that I hadn't had time to concentrate on all of the wonderful time ahead.
We will come up with a punch list & give it to them in a few days. So far, all I'm finding is minor cosmetic touch-ups.
Gorgeous craftsmanship!
We have our keys! But we won't start moving until they finish our list/ early next week. Hopefully the OC will be issued by Monday.

A huge congratulations on passing the RESA tasks! A lot of people don't realize how much more work outside of the classroom that a teacher has to do. I wanted to be a teacher when I was little. Life took me on a different path but I still think it's one of the greatest jobs in the world.Good morning everyone!
The day is off to a good start. I woke up to a really heavy rain, which was out of nowhere and a bit strange, but whatever. lol I then started to make coffee and breakfast. Henry was already up and running around the house with a brown blanket on his head, I have no idea why.
Then I remembered that today is the day I get the results back from my resident educator summative assessment(RESA). This is what all new teachers in Ohio have to do in their first 3-4 years in order to stay a teacher. The first 2 years are just going to some meetings and filling out meaningless paperwork. However, in year 3 there are 4 "tasks" which you have to complete. Those tasks range from making videos of teaching, uploading a bunch of files from tests, homeworks, emails, etc... Then you answer a ton of questions for each task. The process is done so that 2 tasks were due in December and 2 in April. You might remember me complaining about doing them.
Well, anyway, I am happy to say that I passed all parts of RESA!!!
Awww poor little Harlowe. I hope that she is feeling more energetic tonight. And I really hope that all that rain will subside so that they can complete your house and you can get everything sorted out. Have a great evening snowflake22

New car is doing great. I'm feeling better about things! Taking a relaxing evening tonight-tomorrow is busy, but I get to go home to my parents' for the weekend for Father's Day, so that's fun. I hope you all have a great evening. Take it easy!
My training of two new assistant managers is done. Tomorrow I can finally concentrate on my own tasks. Just watching some tv and trying to stay cool tonight. Everyone enjoy your Wednesday night!
