So exciting for Jacob! My niece is coming home tonight from her 3 day college orientation.
 
Well, the air conditioner repair man was here a bit ago. Basically, there is a leak in the system, probably several small leaks actually. This is most likely due to an old indoor part of the heat pump system, combined with a newer outdoor part of the system. Essentially, the two parts are not really compatible. So.... he filled up the refrigerant, $270 and recommended having the entire system replaced.
The good news, we have air conditioning again and it should last through the summer and into next spring. The bad news, we have to replace the system sooner or later. We have an appointment tomorrow to have someone give us a quote on replacing the system. A new system will probably be $5000-10000, depending on how good of a system we get. We may end up waiting until next Spring anyway.

It is a small internet radio station. The guy who runs it made it like a radio station from the area that was bought out several years ago. The station is a light rock station, but he loves Christmas music and takes any excuse to play Christmas music he can get. The station is WLQT-DC Lite 105. Look it up and have a listen. The music is not as varied as Kringle Radio, but still fun to listen too.

This is always my argument! It's so much easier to get warm than to cool off I think!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm working the afternoon/evening shift so I'm getting everything done early this morning (workout, dishes, preparing supper, etc.) and then I can relax some before work. Two days of work then two days off, I'll take it.

It's nice for us going to work though who can drive without much traffic. Just going to have a productive day today as it's my busy week of the month. I am looking forward to Friday and the 2nd half of the year because to me that's when everything starts to get the most fun.

Well, the promised dry day was had yesterday, although the humidity was up.
I took advantage and got all the needed outdoor work done. Now I can smugly watch as Mother Nature sends her worst for the rest of the week.
This morning has commenced under a threat of rain at 77 muggy degrees here in the capital city.

It's getting more humid here, and the temperatures are at that point where it won't get below 85 probably until September (for highs at least). Hope your day was great SFM!

I've been absent again. Sorry about that. I started working at Passport Canada against last Monday. At Passport, we don't really have any internet access. And, as I mentioned in previous years, we only have scheduled 15-minute breaks. It's not a great job in terms of freedom, but it pays the bills.

How am I positing today? Well, I'm actually back at Russell for the final two days of the school year. It should be an easy two days in grades 7/8. Right now, the students are watching Back To The Future. Awesome.
