I'm with you on that. I'll hang onto as much late daylight as I can!

From my window at the office I can see a wooded hill in the distance. A few orange-ish leaves are already showing! I don't know if that's a sign of the drought we're having here, or an early sign of autumn. Anyway, seeing that gives me mixed feelings, because I'm not ready to let go of green trees and sunlight yet.

There are so many leaves down at the lake already! The bike path is covered in them! I'm pretty sure it's mainly b/c of the drought as opposed to an early fall, but ... not ready, not ready, not ready! LOL! It even smells like fall riding through the leaves! Crazy! (but I do love that smell!)

Could I trade in February for another month of late daylight, please?
I guess not ...

Welcome back! They told me last weekend his Xray they took said he had a little congestion but not pneumonia. They changed his prescription and the vet comes in Thu/Fri to give him another checkup to see if he's better to go home.

VERY good news it's not pneumonia! Praying he gets good results from the new meds & he can come home! I know he & you are very excited for that!!

Yeah I am hoping for good news. I visited him several times and he definitely knows us by now. He thinks we're his friends who come visit him...little does he know his life is about to get 10 times more exciting, fun and awesome.

Fall items finally hit the local Rite Aid,Dollar Generals and Family Dollars here.

Here too....I actually picked up a couple of little pumpkins for my mantle.

Maggie ended up having a pretty bad reaction to the new medicine. We had a terrible night and today wasn't much better. We're going try another round of antibiotics instead. She'll be on the antibiotics for a month. Fingers crossed, hopefully the poor thing will sleep better tonight.

How's everybody's week going so far?
I'm sitting here at my desk trying to get my mind mentally ready for yet another Wednesday morning meeting where I'll have very little input do to most of it is from a clinical aspect and I'm more administrative. However, I'm required to attend and every once and a while I do chime in with a few things to add. I will say I'm glad it's in the am instead of somewhere in the middle of the day where you have to stop what you're doing to attend.

Aside from that everything is peachy! The girls and I are having a blast keeping tabs on TEAM USA with the Olympics even with the tape delay. It's extremely upsetting after avoiding all the major traps of the internet as not to have all the day events spoiled for me to be on the train home and over hear someone spill the beans. Grrrrr!!!! Now I know to wear my earbuds when I leave the office, I'll listen to some Christmas music so that should help.

So the spa yesterday was a really nice experience. The massage was very relaxing (hubby even fell asleep next to me lol). And the steam rooms and cool baths were great (especially the cool baths). First time at a spa, it won't be the last.

Happy Wednesday! Tomorrow is my last day of work before a weeks vacation with the family. When I return it will be time to get serious about my eating and exercise routines again. Discipline and all of that! It's so humid here already my windows were steamed up when I woke up. I was almost scared to leave the house and head to work. We had a GREAT time! It was a beautiful convertible ride, Louisville was fun, wedding was nice + 2 days off at the lake after...can't believe how fast those 6 days went! Now it's back to reality!

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Pines Day! It's my Friday and my shortest week since New Years. I've had a lot of 4 day weeks this year but none less than that. With my days off I really want to relax some and have to see how the whole Rollins situation plays out the next few days. Other than that I am trying to finish up some stuff at work today.
