Little signs are popping up all over the place....

Nothing says fall is coming like Candy Corn showing up in the stores...
I picked some up the other day to make Harvest Hash!

Thanks guys! I never made it to HomeGoods but I went to Michaels and picked up a cute Halloween countdown witch figurine and an adorable pumpkin hat & collar for Maggie. I'll have to post a picture of her in it when she wears it in October.

Hope everyone is having a great day so far!
Sounds adorable!
Can't wait to see photos! ❤️

Joint decorating, that sounds like fun. Don't forget to post the pics ;-)

Funny you should mention Candy Corn! At the grocery store today,I went by the bulk candy minding my own business...when I hear a crash and a huge box of bulk Candy Corn blew out and spilled all over the floor. I bet there was 30 lbs of candy spilled.

Hey friends! I'm in the middle of a real stretch here-60 hours of work last week and 50 this! I hope to be back more regularly after this week. I'm teaching band camp (@Iteachpercussion I've thought of you while talking with our drum tech!) and LOVING it, but also still doing my two other jobs on top of it, so I'm pretty busy from morning to evening and barely have enough time for myself and the husband-gotta prioritize! :) Things are set supposedly to cool off here for a bit and HOPEFULLY not get as hot as it has been again. I am SO ready for fall weather. I can't believe next week we'll get into the ber's! Hope everyone is well and that things are going smoothly for you as we prepare to descend into fall soon! :)

I know those hours! Most of the camps I used to work were "away" camps where we stayed from Sunday-Friday. Rehearsal either on the field or music (full band or sectional) pretty much all day. I did a few camps that we at the school and ended at around 5pm. Then, I often had a band rehearsal for another school to go to until 9 or 930pm. Those are tough hours, but worth it for the kids! Once it is over make sure to take a little break and do something that does not involve band.
I hope you get the cool weather. We had a beautiful day here today. Tomorrow is the first teacher work day and students arrive on Wednesday. So as far as I am concerned, summer is over, so lets bring on the fall weather!!!

I am home again and enjoying relaxing before heading back to work tomorrow.
It was a nice vacation and I will also enjoy having my brother here for another week and a half.
Hope you are all well, will do some catching up later.
((((HUGS))))
Glad you had a nice vacation!
Enjoy the time with your brother !

The weeks before the beginning of school use to be one of the best times of the year. The prep of the new school year as a Physed teacher was the best. New hoodies and shorts, organizing the gym and mezz, getting my equipment ready for my basketball and baseball teams and preparing for my Student Leadership Camp.

4.5 years ago that was stolen from me. The accident and recovery have stolen my ability to stand, sit, walk for any long durations of time and they (I stumble and fall a lot) all result in extreme pain and fatigue. Don't feel sorry for me, I'm doing well. I'm happily married and I have a beautiful baby girl. Not working is hard though. I never wanted to not work. I was born to be a coach and a teacher. I've instructed Martial Arts and ran baseball clinics associated with the Toronto Blue Jays when I was younger, and everything I did was work towards my goal of being an educator. I miss my students and my colleagues.

This time of year, has always been the beginning of a New Year for me and the start of my march towards Christmas. The pain sucks, but I guess it could be worse. I could still be paralyzed and needing my wheelchair. Instead my days are filled with raising my daughter and golfing Monday to Friday's at my Country Club (golf is my summer Physio) and my winters are spent at the gym and clinic doing Physio. Another good way of looking at it is, I get to spend a lot of time with my daughter. I hope she likes golf? ;)

I just miss my job and this time of year really drives it home. I'm to young to be retired.

Thanks for reading and allowing me to get it off my chest.

Thinking of you, Mike~
I know it's a difficult time of the year for you. Keeping you in prayer.

I admire your positive outlook, and love for your daughter.
And yes, hope she enjoys golf as much as you do!

We are always here to listen, glad you shared.

Have a blessed night, friend.

You like many on this website have the kindest souls and the fact that I can tell that through a iPad screen screams the quality of people that visit this site.

Thank you,

Michael

Keeping you in my thoughts Mike, praying you get relief from the pain. I'm sure you are enjoying the time with your daughter, raising her is the most important job in the world!
