Merry Morning all,
Mum is now safe and sound back home. It was tough saying good bye but we are both adjusting back into things and looking forward to our next visit hopefully next summer again.
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. Things were somewhat overwhelming for a while so I needed to take some time but you all were never far from my thoughts. It was helpful having Mum around and I am feeling better.
Now it's time to focus on what's to come! Can you believe we are welcoming the ber months tomorrow!!!! We are one month away from my absolute favourite month of the year - October. It is the biggest milestone month for me.
It's all about to start and I look forward to catching up with everyone ad celebrating our favourite time of the year together.

Thank youA little at a time. Right now I have a table covered with Disney ornaments to go through. Then the Peanuts ones, the Crayola ones, the Santa ones and so on...
The interesting thing is that some stir immediate memories, while others I have to ask myself... "When did I buy this?"
The other portion is the items for a Christmas scene/village. I have to admit that I am tempted to put it up now. Not only to see how much I have, but how much will fit in my office. We'll see.

I understand what you mean, I went through my decorations a few months ago when packing for our move. I thinned some things out, but others evoked heart warming moments & nostalgia!

Very sorry to hear about this Edge, my best to your whole family. Over the years we've lost touch with my family on both sides. A few years back, I saw one of my cousins while shopping and learned that his mother had passed away. It was sad, I remember going to their place almost every other weekend as a kid. It's good that you are re-connecting with your uncle and cousins, it's never too late.

I hope your mother will feel better as the days go on Christmasstar. She looks like a trouper. I can't believe that the people at the retirement home told her to just go home. Don't they have a nurse who could've checked her out quickly after she fell? I don't understand people sometimes.my mom with her new fashion for the next 6 weeks.
She was visiting a friend at a local retirement home, tired to sit on a chair that rolled away and she ended up on the floor. They picked her up and sent her home telling her to just put a cold cloth on it. Mom instead went to emergency and discovered it was broken. We are not happy with the way the home dealt with this especially considering she is 85 years old.
Dispite the smile put on for the camera she is in pain and will require help for the next while.
Happy for you that inventory went well. I never enjoy inventory.

Keeping busy sorting out all those Christmas ornaments, quite a task I can imagine. Pumpkin bread sounds really good. Pumpkin is not a familiar flavour here in Québec (I think it's more on the English side), but I'm tempted to try some recipes with it later in the Fall.

When I was young my grandma used to use real pumpkins to make stuff. As I got older I saw she started using canned pumpkin for everything. I asked her why she used canned stuff..She said "you darn fool..a can costs under a dollar and real pumpkin takes all day to cook down!" I tried doing real pumpkin last year..SOoo much labor in it. I stick to canned also..lol
