Time to take a much needed break. Six totes gone, which leaves me with twelve. Two trees gone as well, which leaves me there with eight. Oh well, baby steps.
Have a grand evening all.
You have been busy!!!! So nice of you to share your Christmas wealth! :)

my mom with her new fashion for the next 6 weeks.
She was visiting a friend at a local retirement home, tired to sit on a chair that rolled away and she ended up on the floor. They picked her up and sent her home telling her to just put a cold cloth on it. Mom instead went to emergency and discovered it was broken. We are not happy with the way the home dealt with this especially considering she is 85 years old.

Dispite the smile put on for the camera she is in pain and will require help for the next while.

Oh no! Praying she heals quickly! Poor lady!

Good evening,

Just a quick pop-in, inventory went well. I am beat, time for some shut eye.

Goodnight, everyone
I'm glad to hear inventory went well! Hope you got some sleep & have a great day!

Good morning. Wednesday and time to get a few things done around the old stompin' grounds. But first coffee and I'll make a couple loaves of pumpkin bread.
It is amazingly quiet and peaceful at 3:30AM. Almost as if the whole world is asleep except me.

Sounds delicious!!! Enjoy!!! :)
BTW - I was up at 3:30 also, letting Gracie out since we had storms roll through last night & she wouldn't come out of the basement to go out at a normal time...but I went back to bed! ;) LOL! It is a peaceful time though! :)
Have a great day!

Enjoy the cooler weather!
Hope you have a wonderful day! :)

Found out my aunt passed away this weekend. Hadn't seen her in years. Just started talking to my cousins recently after a falling out between our fams when we were kids. Kind of sad...but it made her happy that we had started talking again so that's one positive.
Other than that hope everyone had a great day! 1 more to go till the 'Bers!
I'm sorry for your family's loss, Edge, but at least you guys made up before it happened. take care!

It just doesn't seem possible!!
Emma just told me yesterday that Monday was her 6 month Anniversary of staying with Mom. (Since Feb 29) She mentioned it seems like 4 weeks ago we asked her if she would stay - I had to totally agree! She said she remembers it was colder that day but sure doesn't seem like 6 months ago!

Bless her heart! I can't see the picture, but I'll send a prayer for healing for her!

Merry Morning all,

Mum is now safe and sound back home. It was tough saying good bye but we are both adjusting back into things and looking forward to our next visit hopefully next summer again.

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. Things were somewhat overwhelming for a while so I needed to take some time but you all were never far from my thoughts. It was helpful having Mum around and I am feeling better.

Now it's time to focus on what's to come! Can you believe we are welcoming the ber months tomorrow!!!! We are one month away from my absolute favourite month of the year - October. It is the biggest milestone month for me.

It's all about to start and I look forward to catching up with everyone ad celebrating our favourite time of the year together.

x
Good morning Festive! It's so nice to see your smiling face posting again! :) We missed you around here! Glad you were able to spend summer with your mom & happy you were there for each other. Praying she can return next summer. That's so great she can do that! I'm also happy to hear she made it home safely!!
So many things to look forward too!
Have a wonderful day!!! (((HUGS)))

Happy Pinesday, Christmas friends!

I thought I was through with my after-work business for a couple weeks, and I wound up working till 10pm last night. And I have a little more to finish up during my lunch hour today. Whew! Why don't these people just send me a check, and quit making me work for it?!? ;)

Of course, I did get my yard cut, and I cut the grass at my brother's business. He's been in a dispute with the city about the appearance of his business. LOL He doesn't really put much stock into appearances. They actually sent the police chief out to see him. Luckily, I was there at the time, so after Jim blew up, I told him to take a break and I settled things down with chief.

It's not really that serious. We're a small community, so we've known chief since we were kids, and he wasn't really threatening Jim. He was just letting him know that Terry (the mayor of Claxton) wanted him to clean up. Small towns, right? LOL

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good morning everyone. Thank you all so much for the prayers and well wishes yesterday. It was a wonderful service! My wife's uncle was a retired firefighter and lots of folks from the force showed up and supported his family. Very moving.

I hope you all have a great last day of August and I'll see y'all at the Pines!

When I was young my grandma used to use real pumpkins to make stuff. As I got older I saw she started using canned pumpkin for everything. I asked her why she used canned stuff..She said "you darn fool..a can costs under a dollar and real pumpkin takes all day to cook down!" I tried doing real pumpkin last year..SOoo much labor in it. I stick to canned also..lol
LOL! I use both. I usually bake & freeze a couple baking pumpkin every year - It's like an awesome fall candle burning in your home & the bonus is you get pumpkin to freeze! :) I just cut them in half, put them on a cookie sheet, skin side up (cut side down) -cover with foil - bake @ 350º 1 1/2 - 2 hours - scoop it out, run it through the blender & freeze. Oooooh, that smell! :) Delicious in cinnamon rolls! :)
