Just got word our neighbor lady at the lake passed away this morning! #@&^ cancer! Her significant other has had a trailer close to us for years. They started dating probably close to 10 years ago. He left a message on my phone this morning wanting me to let everyone know. He was so upset. The poor guy! Hate it!

Hugs and thoughts to all who knew her. Cancer is such a ^%$*#. I've lost so many to it's deadly claws, including my own mum. I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry for your loss~ hugs.

Cancer has taken dear ones in our family, too. Such a horrible disease. Praying for a cure.

Don't know about them but I'm ready for them to go back hahahaha! My youngest starts full time school from September. Can's believe it! It will be a huge change. Having him start nursery (half days) last september has cushioned the transition somehwhat though. Remember how nervous I was. He loved going though and is excited about 'big school'

Glad to hear your mum and gracie are well. I bet Gracie was up to all sorts this summer!

Thank you! I will!! I found a piddle spot on the carpet in the sunroom this morning. She SO rarely does that! I'm thinking & hoping it's just b/c she wouldn't go outside last night b/c of the storm & she really had to go & not that it's something else. I'm blaming it on the storm but will keep my eye on her.

Praying for her, Holiday! Keep us posted.
Hopefully it was just because of the storm. Fingers crossed.

Keeping busy sorting out all those Christmas ornaments, quite a task I can imagine. Pumpkin bread sounds really good. Pumpkin is not a familiar flavour here in Québec (I think it's more on the English side), but I'm tempted to try some recipes with it later in the Fall.

You will not be disappointed. In fact, I prefer the taste and texture of pumpkin bread (or muffins) to that of pumpkin pie.

The bread turned out fantastic and I took a loaf to my former Disney Store boss. We had coffee, but she decided to serve eggs and keep the pumpkin bread for later. That along with Sausage Gravy are her two favorite things that I make.
Gotta love it!
