Well I made a doozie batch of fresh salsa last night! My mouth is on fire, my neck is sweating, my ears are itching but I keep going back for more!! :p :D Whew!

I took Gracie for a walk at lunch & it's a lot muggier out there than I thought. I was hoping with 80º & no sun it wouldn't be so bad....WRONG!

I agree with that! I have never had a bad pumpkin bread but my favorite so far is the one from Taste of Home! Nothing healthy about it... LOL

Delicious Pumpkin Bread Recipe

5 large eggs
  • 1-1/4 cups canola oil
  • 1 can (15 ounces) solid-pack pumpkin
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 packages (3 ounces each) cook-and-serve vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
  • 1. In a large bowl, beat the eggs. Add oil and pumpkin; beat until smooth. Combine remaining ingredients; gradually beat into pumpkin mixture.
  • 2. Pour batter into five greased 5-3/4x3x2-in. loaf pans. Bake at 325° for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
Freeze option: Securely wrap and freeze cooled loaves in plastic wrap and foil. To use, thaw at room temperature. Yield: 5 mini loaves (8 slices each).
Nutritional Facts

1 slice: 150 calories, 8g fat (1g saturated fat), 27mg cholesterol, 96mg sodium, 20g carbohydrate (13g sugars, 1g fiber), 2g protein .
Sounds scrumptious!!
Thanks for sharing the recipe!!

Agreed ~ Well, next to shorts & a t-shirt or tank top! ;)
Actually usually when it's getting to be sweatshirt weather, I'm ready for sweatshirt weather. But when it's time for shorts weather, I'm ready for that too. Actually, shorts & a sweatshirt is probably my fave! :p
Best of both worlds for you! ;)

Good Afternoon/ evening everyone,
Looking forward to a quiet evening. I am hoping to get the kids back into their bed time routine as they resume school next week. It's been all over the place during summer!

Enjoy your afternoon/evening.

I forgot to mention my fun at the grocery store last night!
@made582 - LOOK what I finally found!!!! I think you told me about these before Thanksgiving maybe 2 years ago & I put them permanently on the grocery list in my phone, looking for them at every different store I went too. Well guess what showed up at my normal shopping spot & when I wasn't even looking!!

My eyes about popped out of my head - I was pretty excited!! :D LOL (it's the little things....) We will have to try it soon!

Oh, & @snowflake22 - I also picked up some Leinenkugel Harvest Patch Shandy! A grocery trip can't get much more fun than that. HA!

Those must be the ones they took from our stores!! I haven't seen them in months!! Lol!!!

What time is dinner???

Tomorrow we are supposed to have a high of 75º. Still 70% humidity but at least 6º cooler.

It is some kind of salsa. WOW! It has wonderful flavor but every once in awhile you get a bit that about makes you pass out. LOL
