Happy Monday everyone!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather here in Maryland was just ideal over the weekend. The high for today is only supposed to be in the low 70's. I told Lizzybeth that this week would probably be the last week she can wear her uniform shorts to school.

I am taking the day off on Friday. My church is heading to Lancaster PA for the Sight and Sound production of Samson, we'll have lunch before at an Amish Smorgasbord. It plans to be an wonderful day and all those going are very excited.

Good Morning .. is it me or did the weekend fly by in a blink of an eye? Guess maybe it felt that way since it was a very busy weekend. We did manage to get all the fall/Halloween decorations down from the attic. The plan is to get the outside fall/Halloween decorations up this week. Kids started decorating their bedrooms for Halloween over the weekend. Will post pictures of the outside once we are done ... Love this time of the year!!!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

What a lazy weekend. I didn't do a thing Saturday, and I can't stand that. I should have been mowing the lawn, or working on my business, or something.

My brother and I went to see a movie matinee yesterday, Suicide Squad, while Nancy went with her sister to see Bridget Jones. I really liked our movie. Nancy said hers was ok, but the language was awful. It's strange to me that some movies, that might otherwise be good, are ruined my unnecessary profanity. Oh well.

I was looking through my Christmas library yesterday, which I usually sync to my phone right after Halloween. (Before then, I listen to Amazon Prime Christmas or Kringle Radio or CDs in the car.) This year it simply ISN'T going to fit onto my phone. And there's darn little that I'm willing to un-check from my sync! I'm seriously considering a new phone, as I have an older 16 GB model ...

Lol - I don't blame you! It's hard to give up our favorites!! Hope you are having a good Monday!

Back to rain all day . We had a nice few days of dry weather and a few weeks where it only rained for part of the day. It's also quite chilly. Our new fire arrived today so looking forward to that! The other one stopped working last winter.

I am making spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread for dinner so I better go check on it....

Hope everyone is having a great Monday! Got errands and chores done this morning. Then took a nap and was thankfully woken up by a phone call or else I think I would still be sleeping. I've been looking online for savory apple recipes for a sale at work this Friday and I'm thrilled to have found a chicken salad sandwiche recipe with apples and dried cranberries, and a coleslaw with apples. I think that's easy enough to make and serve.

I don't remember it being this sudden in years past. Felt it was more gradual. I'm sure we'll warm up again in October but not sure we'll see that real warm weather we had for a good part of September.

My day is going well, hope yours is too!
My clothes dryer stopped working last night but my husband picked up a part this afternoon, he stopped home a little while ago to fix it. Just catching up with the laundry now.
The weather has been nice and cool here in the morning. I've been taking Maggie for short walks the past couple of days and she's been doing pretty well. She usually can't tolerate the exercise but so far, so good.
I'm going to start prepping dinner soon, we're having stuffed pork chops, mashed sweet potatoes and roasted asparagus.
Oh and I'm really looking forward to the debate tonight.

So far, so good, thanks! It's starting to look like I may be at the office a bit late, though. Some days it's very slow---then I have to wait for stuff that is coming in at the end of the day. Looks like one of those days.

It's funny to read some of you all talking about how chilly the weekend was!! It was SO HOT yesterday with no breeze, we couldn't even sit outside! LOL! Today is a different story, though the sun is trying to come out now.

It's funny to hear how warm it was for you!
Woke up to 40's today. High tomorrow is 53!!!
We reached 70 yesterday, but by 7:00 last night it was already 59.
