The Season is Nigh Upon Us Dept: Fleet Farm started advertising Toyland's opening 10/15/16 at 6AM, last Saturday.....This morning, I caught Rent - a Center's Christmas ad. While it is a tad early, it ties in with the furniture, carpet, and cleaning the house spots that will begin running in the next ten days. It was a happy breakfast gift.

The weather is cooling down and we may see some morning frost in the next day or two. A short work week for me, as I am headed down to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha on Saturday morning with the other Volunteers from our zoo here in Sioux Falls. So, I am also taking off Friday in order to be awake for the trip...
My better half (Connie) will be joining me, she loves the inside aquarium and jungle.

I have to admit it does intrigue me, but I'm a scaredy cat watching those kind of movies. LOL

We're scrambling to tie everything down. I guess we were hoping the storm would turn away, and it still might, but it looks like it'll be here tomorrow evening. There are mandatory evacuations along the coast. All the highways from Savannah going west are bumper-to-bumper, and the store shelves are being stripped bare.
I understand buying water & canned goods, but things like milk & meat are selling out, too. Oh well. It should only last a day, so we just need to hunker down and "weather" it. LOL
