Good Morning MMC !!

super moon looks amazing, and it is not very cold this morning so nice to go out and view.

Our city put up new Christmas decorations this year they are so much nicer than the dull blue coloured wreaths they had before....

lots to do today, starting with work.
Hope you all have a fantastic day !
Those are nice, very classy. Still no Christmas decorations installed by the city here so far. But they've used the same ones for years and years now, only changing to LED coloured lights over time, which makes the decorations worse. The old part of the city gets really decked out though, but nothing yet. Have a great day!

Good evening ~
My husband and I stopped at Michael's today to look at the Christmas trees. We ended up getting a new one and put it up when we got home. I'm going to hold off on the other trees until after Thanksgiving. The new one will be for my Hallmark ornaments, I'm going to decorate it tomorrow. Can't wait!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I'll see you in the morning!

** CHRISTMAS SEASON 2016 DAY 2 **

Good Morning, Season Worshipers.

Did your first day of Christmas Season 2016 go well yesterday?
Did you listen to any Christmas music?
Watch any Christmas movies?
Start checking to see if there were any leftover blank Christmas cards from last Christmas for use this year?
(Watch the Panthers loose again??)

I started off this year's listening with a different artist from the usual Glen Miller.
The Billy Vaughn orchestra turned out a really nice instrumental Christmas album that I highly recommend. I have it on an ancient cassette tape (1980) and it's simply entitled "Billy Vaughn Christmas Songs" and consists of 9 traditional songs plus Auld Lang Syne. The catalog number is "CA-HDY-1906" ("Holiday Records/Division of Phoenix Entertainment and Talent" is written on the cover.) Real pleasant music.
Perhaps it's out there some where on the web.

Continuing with our count, now:
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 10 (SINGLE DIGITS TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 41 (Now under 6 weeks left!)
(Wow. Thanksgiving is a week from this Thursday. Things are really starting to move along!)

Rather chilly here yesterday and a moderately heavy jacket was needed for most of the day. The same should be true again today with the added feature of rain. Then things should improve for the balance of the week.
Currently, we perceive 47 degrees on our back door thermometer, with a light rain falling.

Have a Marvelous Monday Folks.
And a Fantastic First Full Week of Christmas Season 2016!

Merry Monday, MMC!

What a busy three days! Went all over southeast MI looking for store stock and came across Canterbury Village along the way. There is a year-round Christmas shop there that I had to go through ~ such fun! The grounds were being decorated for the holidays while we were there ~ would love to go back and see it at night when all the lights are on. Must be magical!

Saw the super moon last night ~ awesome!!

Work on tap for today. Should be fun!

Have a blessed week, friends!!
Good Morning Meceka. One of these days I want to get up to Bronner's in Frankenmuth. I've seen photos and I really, really want to visit it.
Enjoy the week and this special time of year...

Good Monday morning! I had dreams about work last night, weird dreams about a snow blizzard while at work and snow coming into the store. Hate dreaming about work more than I hate dreaming about a snow blizzard. I'll do some online Christmas shopping today. Got to get some things done, time is going by so fast! Have a fantastic day everyone!
I have far too many work related dreams. Either the job I am doing now or from my military days. The worse ones are just normal events, because I always wake up tired... lol

Glad to see you AMD! Thinking of you today. It can be hard to feel like that. I hope you are able to find good cheer here!

Indeed I am; thanks DYHWIH. I have merry thoughts every day and often imagined myself slipping by to share them and then the day would get away from me and the connection to Christmas message wound up remaining in my head. My parents and my husband's health is improving so the demands for my time and attention are less than they were which gives me more time to jump aboard the MMC merry train. This place is good medicine, that's for certain.

WOW! Did the pretty tree come with that adorable cat? I love when people have enough trees and ornaments to create theme type trees.

Very nice Auntie. Outside of the "original" Christmas story, this is my favorite. Have a fun Monday and a great week...

I received the Nonesuch Dickens Book collection some years ago and love reading the stories. A Christmas Carol is one of the few films I will watch that is remade over and over again by different casts and rarely tire of it. The Alastair Sim, Muppets, Scrooged (although no formal credit was given) and Jim Carrey's are the ones I like most.

I dream about Christmas related things all the time and WELCOME them. It's especially fun during the "off season". A few times I've had frustrating dreams where I've lost track of time and I'm trying to get to a relatives house for Christmas Dinner and other events keep popping up that need my attention and then I remember I'm on a mission for turkey and company; seems like a never-ending loop of worry that I'm missing celebrating Christmas.
Wonder if that's why I can't sleep on Christmas Eve.

Well, I just finished my fitness routine at the gym and it's time to get down to work.-surprise-Have a great day and a wonderful week my merry friends!

Greetings Christmasstar. Downtown Sioux Falls is getting geared up as well and will have a "Festival of Lights" parade the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Warmer here too well above freezing at 45 degrees.
Enjoy the day and the season...

A Very Merry Monday Crown. To answer your questions...1) I slept, 2) Every day, 3) Not yet & 4) plenty of cards getting ready to go. I like Billy Vaughn too and remember him best for "A Swinging Safari". My favorite band for Christmas Music is still Percy Faith, though I do listen to many others including Glenn Miller.
Enjoy the day and this last full week until Thanksgiving...

Hello again. I also enjoy the many various A Christmas Carol movies, including Mr Magoo and Mickey's Christmas Carol. But I have to admit my favorite was performed by the Famous Capt Jean-Luc Picard. Of course I am referring to Patrick Stewart.

A Merry Magnificent Monday to the MMC community. Got nothing done yesterday, so I have to make up for that today. Pumpkin bread is baking for my visit to a dear friend just over an hour from now. Then some more yard clean up and going through more Christmas items.
I think I'll make it easy for dinner tonight and just place the roast, potatoes, onion and carrots in the same container and just let it all cook together. That way all I'll have to do at the end is make gravy and dinner will be ready.
For those of us here, we have a mere eleven days until Thanksgiving. Making up the food & treat list (and checking it twice :)) so I have very few trips that week. I will be off from Sunday until Friday mid-shift.
Not much else going on right now.
Have a fun day and a miraculous holiday season...

A Merry Monday Edge. 6-7 this week so far. The Saints lose on an extra point run back? Unreal. I was at work for the last hour or so of the countdown, but I did see a lot of people hanging in there. Hope the day goes well for you and that you did better than I did.

9-4 here...knew I'd have a good week but the Pats hurt me last night so I'm in a 4-way tie and I never win those things. Have a good Monday!

Thanks Crown! I watched my Jets lose again but I'm still happy we are in the Christmas season!

Good Monday Morning MMC! I'm off today so a little bit of a late start for me. Got my run in after sleeping in (aka 7AM). I'm going to the mall in a bit after a couple of errands. I just want to look around, get ideas for Christmas gifts and sorta take in the "calm before the storm" that will be starting up in about 10 days. Then all heck is going to break loose until January. No wonder we love this time of year more than any other.
Have a great Monday!

I must look that up. I have a compilation LP that includes "The Christmas Song" and "Jingle Bells" by Billy Vaughn, and I like the arrangements!

P.S. Just looked---Amazon has several Billy Vaughn Christmas albums available on CD and for download.

Isn't that annoying, to dream about a workday, then the alarm goes off and you have to head in to work? There ought to be a rule: no workday dreams!
