It's almost that time Holiday where everyone (not just Christmas Crazies) acknowledge it's here.
Crazy, huh? I saw my 1st tree in a window last night in our town while Gracie & I were walking to Moms. I was so excited!!!! :D :jump:tree:

Christmas movies sounds like the perfect way to take her mind off of being sick!!
I am looking very forward to Thanksgiving. It's going to be a crazy busy day! Would be nice if it could be a little more relaxed, but we will enjoy no matter what! :)
You dinner sounds delicious. I am not sure yet what we will be having for dinner tonight. Something quick & easy. I go to the beauty parlor after work :D & Jim is going to the sportsmen's club after work to set up our projector & big screen there for the OSU/Michigan State game on Saturday - it will be 8:00 or later until he gets home. I might pull some leftover pot roast out of the freezer. :)

I agree. LED's are just not the same, for some reason, but I do like the pre-lit trees that you can change from clear lights to colored lights with the flick of a switch!
GE has some LED mini-lights that are getting closer to the colors and look of incandescent minis, but ... not yet. Not as long as I can get my hands on adequate amounts of real minis.

I have noticed a lot of people with outdoor decorations up. Haven't seen any turned on though. My hubby will kick himself when it's freezing cold & he's out there putting lights up. Ha ha!
Have a great day!!
That's what my dad likes to do. Just like clark griswold

Enjoy your day. Hope work goes well.

Praying your headache improves. Good luck with the vet. Can't wait to see the tree. Hope I don't miss it.

Sounds like you are enjoying your vacation. I want to update my playlist at some point too. Have a great day!

Good luck with thanksgiving prep!
It's coming fast!

Have a great day. Hope you get round to decorating outside.

Wow the hypnotist show is bound to be fun. Hope you can car pool. Enjoy!

I remember you posting the tree last year! My how time flies. I put up our tree early last year too. It was about the 20th I think! Seeing your tree reminded me. I am dying to decorate. This weekend I will start for sure! Have a great day!

Hope you are all set for thanksgiving. How great your neighbours have started!

I'm holding out to see if one of my nieces offers to bring green bean casserole (since it's easy to make) but so far, no takers. I may have to make one of those too! :):)
Is it easy to make?
I want to try it this year.
Do you have a good recipe to share with me? ❤️

I believe the traditional green bean casserole recipe most commonly used all over the US is the French's/Campbells recipe:

Green Bean Casserole

Feeding a crowd? What's better than green bean casserole, with its flavorful combination of cream of mushroom soup, green beans, and crispy French fried onions? It's one of our all-time favorites!

2 cans Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup or Campbell's® Condensed 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup or Campbell's® Healthy Request® Condensed Healthy Request® Cream of Mushroom Soup

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 cups cooked cut green beans
  • 2 2/3 cups French's® French Fried Onions
  • Step 1
Stir the soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, beans and 1 1/3 cups onions in a 13x9x2-inch baking dish or a 3-quart casserole.

    Step 2
Bake at 350°F. for 25 minutes or until the bean mixture is hot and bubbling. Stir the bean mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining onions.

    Step 3
Bake for 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.

Recipe Tips
  • For the green beans, you can use 2 bags (16 to 20 ounces each) frozen green beans, thawed, 4 packages (9 ounces each) frozen green beans, thawed, 4 cans (14.5 ounces each) green beans, drained or about 3 pounds fresh green beans.
  • For extra crunch, add 1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds to the onion topping.
  • For bacon lovers, add 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled, to the bean mixture.
  • For a festive touch, add 1/2 cup chopped red pepper with the soup.
  • For cheese lovers, stir in 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese with the soup. Omit the soy sauce. Sprinkle with an additional 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese when adding the remaining onions.
  • For Golden Green Bean Casserole, substitute Campbell's® Condensed Golden Mushroom Soup for the Cream of Mushroom Soup. Omit the soy sauce. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped red pepper with the green beans.
  • For Slow Cooker Green Bean Casserole: Omit the milk. Stir the soup, soy sauce, black pepper, beans and 1 1/3 cups onions in a 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours or until the beans are tender. Stir. Sprinkle with the remaining onions.
There are so many different recipes -if anyone has a different/better recipe, please share! :)

It's getting close to Thanksgiving....can't wait to taste that turkey and stuffing!
It's almost too close to Thanksgiving! But I love it!
I changed our plans for supper tonight & got a black pepper turkey tenderloin out of our freezer for supper tonight. I know we are so close to having turkey at Thanksgiving but I honestly normally eat so little turkey on the actual day b/c there is SO MUCH other yummy food! :p
Have a great day MerryBells!

Last year I put up my tree on Nov. 14th! Ahhhhhhh - this is really going to bother me having to wait this year. LOL! (though I'm happy to host Thanksgiving!)
Love these pics!!

I normally have lists, but so far this year the only list I have is a list of the 50 people invited with marks if they are or aren't able to make it & what food they are bringing - if they have responded. I haven't totally wrapped my head around the idea that Thanksgiving is in NINE days! I thought tonight would be a good night to dig into some cleaning/organizing....and then my sister texted asking if I want a hair cut/color tonight. I'm sure not going to turn that down! :p I have all the plates, etc ready to go! I will be making a cornucopia, a meat/cheese tray, a 7 layer salad & potatoes of some kind - so that all has to wait until next week. I am going to try making this....

This is really cute!! I should try this...thanks for the idea!
