Merry Friday!
It's snowing !!!

I woke up to a light dusting this morning which turned to brown slush quite quickly. Currently we have a light fall but mixed with rain unfortunately. It's not the clean fluffy snowfall you can enjoy but still it's nice to watch.

We are below freezing at the moment and I am struggling with coughing and breathing. My asthma inhaler doesn't seem to be helping.

It is nice to have some snowfall this time of year

Thanks Crown! Hopefully it won't rain on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade like they are predicting right now!

I hope it won't rain for that. I always feel so bad for the high-school marching bands that have been dreaming of their big moment for months, slogging along in the rain.

Good morning, everyone!

I hope you're all enjoying Friday thus far. It was a little foggy on my early drive to Ottawa this morning. I had to coach volleyball practice at 7:30. It was really fun. The girls seemed to enjoy themselves and showed decent improvement for our second practice.

Currently, temperatures are a little chilly despite the sunshine. It should be warming up, though, as temperatures should be around 14c/54f this afternoon. Still much warmer than normal.

I have an easy day of teaching today. There are three super easy French classes. I don't speak much French, but the students here at Russell know that. They are good with it. After teaching, I will be heading to Toronto with my old roommate Mike. He's going to stay with his family just outside of Toronto, I am going to stay at a friend's place downtown. My friend and I will be going to a concert tonight and tomorrow night. Mike and I will be meeting up tomorrow evening with his friend and heading to a wrestling event. We're pretty excited! It's going to be a fun-filled weekend. I've really been looking froward to this for quite some time!

The first weekend of the Christmas Season is nearly here. I hope to find a few Blossoms-worthy photos while in Toronto. I know that my friend and I are going to the Distillery District in Toronto, and I believe it has just decorated and illuminated itself for the Season. I'm sure that will look beautiful tomorrow afternoon (despite it being daylight).

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday!!! Looking forward to the weekend, though it will be a busy one!

After work yesterday I met Jim at the lake & we blew out the water lines at the trailer. Kind of sad, but that was the warmest it has ever been doing that job! Mom wanted me to pick up some beer & pop b/c she had people coming over last night, so I did that & dropped it off there - ended up staying longer than planned. OOPS! I got home & made the cornucopia, I baked bacon for the Thanksgiving 7 layer salad, then I made Holiday Bacon Appetizers for the Thanksgiving party on Sunday. The house smelled amazing. A high school friend stopped in unexpectedly - she WATCHED me make the cornucopia. LOL! It was a good night but still lots to do before the big day!

High of 72º predicted for today & a high of 40º with snow predicted for tomorrow O-H-I-O!

Here is the cornucopia - I used the homemade breadstick dough. Looks a little rough from the side but that can be covered up with cheese chunks & grapes.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I'm at work for a few more hours, then we're getting on the road for the mountains! I had almost decided to cancel the trip because of my aunt's funeral, but the family insisted that we not cancel Elizabeth's birthday trip. They were very sweet about it, so mom is staying home for the funeral instead of going with us. Aunt Versie & Uncle Doyt had been married 75 years!! She married him when she was 18, and she was 93 when she passed. Wow. And he's still a very healthy man at 98.

Anyway, I'm getting Elizabeth and her cousin out of school early today for the trip. Jacob is staying behind. He's getting to old and too cool to vacation with the family. LOL

I am in awe of your aunt and uncle having been married 75 years! You never see that anymore. I hope your uncle will have a lot of support in this difficult time. Have a great and safe trip to the mountains.

Merry Friday...another week is gone!! I am getting excited for Thanksgiving.
Yesterday we get some bad news....my MIL broke 4 bones in her foot. She was out for a walk on a trail with my FIL and their dog. She slipped on some leaves and fell so they are not going to come for Thanksgiving because she cannot put any weight on it at all. She is having surgery on 12/2 to put pins in it. We offered to move it to her house but she said No so we told her will come to her house on Friday with leftovers.
Not up too much this weekend. Just a basketball game and I have a jewelry party on Saturday night at a friend's house.

That is an unfortunate injury that your MIL suffered there. I hope she can still enjoy a more quiet Thanksgiving at home. And if your house is anything like mine at gatherings, there will be way too much food, so great leftovers when you visit her. If I may ask, what does a jewellery party entail? You make jewellery or someone showcases what they made for people to buy? Either way, sounds fun. Enjoy your day SnowflakeMom.

Good morning everyone! My day subbing so far seems to be easy. I am a 5th languange arts teacher at our towns middle school. They kids are just doing makeup work on their chrome books. I have 3 sets of classes for 2 periods each. While the kids are doing their work I am reading on my nook.
It will reach almost 70 today and again tomorrow before turning very cold sunday. @Holiday keep the snow in Ohio away from New Jersey please

Awe! Prayers for your MIL! Poor lady! I hope surgery goes well & she heals quickly! What a bummer they won't be able to join you for Thanksgiving - I'm sure they'll enjoy leftovers on Friday! Have a good weekend SFM!

Thank you both and everyone else. I'm okay don't worry. It's aggravated by the arctic air we had move in I think. A couple days on the inhaler should see me right. Tomorrow I don't have to go out so I can stay in and let my body adjust.
