Nice shot of the snow. Glad your party was a success. If I may ask, your father-in-law is awaiting what type of surgery? Hope he is feeling better and that the surgery will bring relief. It's never fun to see a parent (or anyone) struggling while waiting for medical care. And how is Harlowe doing? Hope her coughing is getting under control. Hugs to you both.
Thank you, Martine~it is very pretty. We received 3 more inches overnight, the commute however was not fun.
My FIL will be having surgery on his neck. It is one of a couple of different health problems, but is causing him a lot of pain. Hopefully he will get some relief. Kind of a domino effect going on for him, unfortunately.
Harlowe is doing pretty good, thanks. She is coughing a little still, but the temporary doses of furosemide are helping her make it through. We are going to try and see if the very first heart medicine she went on can assist with the cough. it is a wonder drug, but so big and too many doses/day for a finicky girl. Her cardiologist has a pharmacy that she works with out of state that can compound the drug into a much smaller dose, and keep it unscented/unflavored. We are hoping that it will help treat the coughing, so we will stop her current heart medicine once it arrives. Fingers crossed & praying that it does. Long story, but her doctor feels it is possibly unrelated to her heart directly, but a separate issue of collapsing airways due to weak cartilage. Sometimes furosemide can help relieve atrial pressure, therefore reduce the coughing. Anyways, long term furosemide isn't good for kidneys and she doesn't want her on it even with a small dose daily just yet, as she's only 8, and one day she'll have to go on it indefinitely.
If it doesn't reduce the cough, we have other options, this is the best one to start with though. No negative side effects, but the others do.
And it was to be the drug she was going to start her on as her chronic degenerative valve disease progressed.
I'm praying!
Sending hugs back to you & Loki <3
Good Monday evening. Unfortunately a day where bad news kept on coming. David slipped on some ice and suffered either a severe strain or a torn muscle in his right shoulder. He has to go for an MRI to see if there's a tear. Also a colleague of mine has gone on sick leave for personal reasons. And a manager from a different store had a failed surgery on Friday and he will be out for a while, so another one of my colleagues will go to that store indefinitely, on top of another colleague helping another store to cover for another manager on sick leave. And of lesser severity, I have to go to the clinic tomorrow because my cough has gotten much worse (that's just me being stubborn and waiting so long to see a doctor).
So right now hubby is trying to be comfortable lying on the couch next to me and Loki is cuddling up to him. I doubt there will be much Christmas tree decorating tomorrow. But I have the weekend off, so I'll find a way. I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's pictures though

. Have a great evening everyone!
I'm sorry to hear about David's fall. Praying that there's not a tear, and he can get relief from the discomfort soon.
Keeping your colleagues in my thoughts, too.
Many prayers for you! Let us know how your appointment goes, hope you feel better soon.
