Same here too. Still beats snow IMO. I don't need anymore snow till December...I know someone will disagree with that.

Its a regular holiday wonder. Nice wintery scenes for summer when its so hot outside.
I was bummed on Dec 26 when my brother left for San Diego. Been mostly ok though without much PCBS. Just really reflecting on how crazy amazing everything got starting with the 'Bers. I think people like you and I get so caught up in the summer fun that we forget that as I always say "When summer ends the best stuff of the year begins."That's more like it!I would say the word "bummed" would be how I was feeling last night & this morning. Can't believe it's all over! 11 days - poof, gone!! (but it sure was nice!)

I will probably start to take mine down on Jan 9th. I refuse to do that on the weekend!

I agree, I'll probably wait and take things down on Mon and Tue. I was thinking about it a little while ago, and even though I work those days, I know myself, and I'm not going to come home Fri, Sat, or Sun evening and want to take things down. Not only is it the weekend, it's still that last shred of days that you can possibly justify it being even remotely part of the official holiday season (did I drag that out long enough?
). So I'll just enjoy those last few evenings with my decorations up.Then come Monday, it's over.
Anyway, glad to know others are on board! Merry first week of the year!

Well, I made it through the first day back to school after Christmas break. The students were... sluggish is a good way to put it. But it was a good day. Just three more to go and then the weekend!
The weather here in Ohio is still crazy. near 60 degrees and rain yesterday and today. Tonight it will fall back into the 20s and stay cold until the weekend and go back to the 40s.

Was going to go to the library today, but instead went looking for store stock and ran a few errands. I quit drinking coffee at home, so one of my errands was going to the local convenience store and buying a large hazelnut coffee. What a treat!

I always have a tentative date for takedown, but mostly it is when I finally get the feeling it is time. I took my last tree down on January 28 last year. The only thing that is certain is my outdoor lights being shut off for good on Jan. 8. My window candles stay lit until the first day of spring.
