Good morning all (and to Solice the early riser). It is lunchtime here in SD (at least for us night time people). So a couple of Ham & cheese sandwiches, some Raspberry Lemonade and a post or two and then back to the job site for another three hours. I hope everyone's weekend gets off to a great start. Have some fun and hopefully a little time to relax as well.
Take care all and I'll be back in a few hours.

I don't know, I guess I'm missing having so recently been missing it. You know what I mean? It's a process, where you miss it at first, then you start to miss being in that period of missing it. So you try to put yourself back to it all, if only for a few fleeting moments during the day.

And then beyond that, at some point, you then begin missing, or maybe wishing you could still miss, having recently missed that you were once really truly missing it.

I'm not drunk, I swear.

Currently watching the coverage of the March for Life in DC my daughter is there with our church.wish I could've gone with her but couldn't get away from work .so many people just hoping everyone stays safe.
I couldn't watch the coverage at work, but the highlights I've seen afterwards makes it the most civil event that's happened in DC in a while. No filthy-mouthed "celebrities" or burning trash cans anywhere LOL.

Good to see you!

Forgot to post this earlier!! Better late than never!

Hard to believe it's already been 33 days since Christmas!

Time is really flying!

Happy Friday all- We went to the service for our friend's Dad. It was really nice and our friend gave a great eulogy.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!! I am going to start taking down my mantle tonight. Hope you all have a great weekend.
It's always impressed when a person can deliver a eulogy for a loved one. I'm too much of a crier when it comes to that. I'm sorry for your friend's loss.

Have a great weekend, too!

Good Saturday morning, Christmas friends!

Can you tell I'm up early? LOL Nancy must've had a bad dream. She woke me up at 4am, wanting me to put my arm around her. Next thing I know, she's snoring and my arm is going to sleep. I finally got up at 5am.

And then I realize I'm out of K-Cups!! I'll have to wait for my FIL to open his store at 7am before I can get some coffee!

The auction last night was a bust. It was a fishing-themed night, and they had a million fishing poles, tackle boxes, etc, but I have enough of that stuff. Maybe next week.

I hope y'all have a great weekend!:D

Happy Saturday! The last weekend of January has arrived. Feels like yesterday we celebrated New Years. January has gone well for the most part. My tree is up today until I take it down on Sunday. A lot of errands and little things to do today but that's normal for me on a Saturday and hopefully leading to more of a relaxing Sunday so I have time to take the tree down at my own pace. Will be a chilly but pretty nice weekend here...maybe a little snow next week and talk of a possible Superbowl Sunday Storm (way too early they can barely predict the weather for today let alone 8 days from now).
Have a great weekend!

Good Morning, Fearless Friends!

"Fearless"??
Well, you have to be pretty fearless to not be intimidated by the latest numbers release:
Days to the Season: 289
Days to Christmas Day: 331

Now brace yourselves and show no fear, because you must face the startling fact that we are now down to a scant 15 days away from the ONE QUARTER Milestone to the start of Christmas Season 2017 -- TWO WEEKS FROM TOMORROW!
(Time is already starting to get away from us.......and it's still January!)

Sure enough, the weather service was correct and yesterday was much colder than Thursday. Now, we are facing lows in the mid 20's and highs in the mid 40's by Monday. (At least there is supposed to be no precipitation.)
We currently record 33 chilly but sunny and calm degrees here in the capital city of the great state of North Carolina, home of the Panthers who WILL do better next year.

Have a Sensational Saturday Everyone, and a Wildly Way-Out Weekend, too!
