Good Morning, Excited Milestone Anticipators!

OK. All together now:
"TOMORROW IS A MILESTONE DAY!"

Yes, it's quite true.
Tomorrow we open that 300-day Season Window and step through into a landscape foliated with 200's level figures as far as the eye can see!

In the meantime:
Days to the Season: 259
Days to Christmas Day: 301

Sure enough, we had a cool spell here yesterday and I did not see the thermometer move past the mid 50's all day.
But not to worry. Nice warm weather returns again later today and for the next several.
Right now, we show 39 degrees here to start this new week and the final two days of February.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Friends!

Thanks Crown!! Its a long stretch to get out of the 200's and by my count after tomorrow I will surpass my record of wearing shorts up north. I will have exactly 1 year of not wearing pants..woohoo!!

Good afternoon, MMC~

Merry Friday! TGIF!

The snowstorm continues here, and according to the weather reports it's going to continue throughout the day and into the night.

Praying for all of those affected by the weather, illness, or who just need some extra support.

Harlowe is doing pretty well in her recovery, although her stomach has been pretty upset. I'm sure it's a combination of recovering after the anesthesia and her bacterial infection.

I am still swamped at work, but wanted to stop by and say hi.
Thinking of you all.
(((Hugs)))

Happy Monday Snowflake. We got ours on Thursday evening through Friday morning here in Sioux Falls. Since we were mostly on the northern edge, we wound up with only about 6". Of course with the weather having been so nice, the ground was a little warm, which helped on the roads, but left some ice on the sidewalks. The weekend saw temps in the upper 30's, so the roads and sidewalks have now dried out.
Glad to hear things went well for Harlowe and I can sympathize with work. Between that and a few unexpected things going on around here, my time in MMC has been a little spotty as well.
Take care of yourself and my prayers to you and your family...

Good morning ~
Happy Monday!
It's going to be a cloudy day with a high of 50 degrees. I have to run a few errands later this morning. I need to run to the pet store, Rite Aid and Kohl's to spend my Kohls cash. I also need to start deep cleaning my house. My mothers birthday is in two weeks and I'm having a party for her. I can't believe February is almost over.
I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!

Greetings HMG. Currently 22 here with a high of only 36 for the day. But it is still winter, so with no precip in the forecast... I'll take it. Sundays and Mondays are my normal days off and nothing much planned for today, so I may get into the garage and clean a bit. Enjoy your day and I hope your thoughts for her birthday come out even better than your plans...

Happy Monday MMC! 2 days left in February...unreal. Got a lot accomplished this weekend but that didn't make for as much rest as I would have liked. Looking forward to next weekend already (just like Holiday) because my Nintendo Switch is arriving on Friday. Planning on getting pizza then and trying it out. For now, it's my busy week of the month (or busiest should I say) so the hours of the day are going to go fast. Still playing with my phone and figuring out how to use it. Have a great Monday!!!
Have fun Edge and don't slop any of the pizza on the controller... ;)

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

First, @snowflake22 , sending prayers for Harlowe's quick recovery!

What a long, crazy weekend I had. Most of Saturday was destroyed by trimming two of our crepe myrtles. I had no idea there were that many limbs on a CM. I wasn't well-prepared, either. I should have verified that at least one of my dad's trailers was available. My brother had both of them loaded down. By the time the ordeal was over, I had broken a rope and a chain, scratched my truck and burned my hand. And I have three more crepe myrtles to trim!!

Sunday morning Jacob sang at a church in Savannah with the University Singers, then we had Bernie's Birthday Bash that afternoon. There was around 300 people there, and we had enough food to feed them again! We had a great time, and I had a chance to get a picture (attached below) with the current Bellville mayor and the only other (living) former mayor. Please ignore the white beard. I couldn't find my box of Just for Men LOL! Then we spent 3 hours cleaning up after everyone left. Whew.

I'm so glad to be back at work so I can get some rest!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Amazing how time flies these days. That's what I have discovered about being "Over the Hill". It's not just the age thing, but the fact that you are going downhill, you always pick up speed.
Have a great Monday...

Good morning MMC! It sure is Monday!!!

Emma called my sister this morning - she can't come today. They had a death in the community, she wants to go to the viewing. So we're scrambling. I'm going at 9:00 until my oldest sister gets there after noon, then another sister will come around 3-3:30 until another sister gets off work, then she will spend the night & stay until Emma gets there in the morning. My oldest sister will pick up Emma in the am. Geez!!! Thank goodness we have so many of us to get this covered!!
Hope you all have a GREAT week!!!

Morning Brad. Certainly a full weekend to be sure. I spent most of my yesterday (1st day off) catching up on sleep and some recorded TV shows with my wife and daughter. The bad thing about working overnights is that the rest of the house is up when you are sleeping, so you have to plan.
Glad the birthday party was a success and I am sure it was very much appreciated. Enjoy the leftovers... lol.

Happy Monday Holiday. So far, it sounds like everyone but me is having a busy Monday. Maybe I should go back to bed... lol.
I pray things go well and am glad you have such a large support contingency. Have a great day...

Wow! At least, like you said, there are so many of you, and you all live close enough to help. Your mom is so lucky!

Lol..I knew somebody would pick up on that wording. Saw your overnight working post. I did my share of overnights and I am telling you for a fact that it turns you into a animal. I used to get weird sleeping habits..come home,go to bed and get up at noon till the next day. Or come home,go to bed never wake up till 5 pm. Then you have your days off so you try to stay awake all day to sleep that night with the wife..pfftt its just to rough. I wound up just keeping my normal schedule and stayed up all night. It was easier on everybody in the end.

I tried that at first, but I found that my activities between the hours of midnight and six am were severely limited. But you are right, the days off are a mixture of getting things done between naps...

Good Monday Morning to the entire MMC community. Got in some quality time yesterday with my wife and daughter, which included me treating them to a Culver's dinner (complete with ice cream). We caught a few episodes of Hawaii-Five O and had been building up while our daughter was in California.
Today is still up in the air, but with a revised weather forecast of 43 for a high, it might be a good day to get into the garage and clean up a bit. Here are a couple of photos from the evening of the 25th (after the last snow storm) with the remainder of my lights still up...

Lol..I tried the naps and they turned into 6 hours straight and the alarm clocking having a meltdown. Then we switched to not having 2 days off in a row..ughh. So there was no choice but to stay on schedule. I was lucky because I could work in my garage at night, or tv, video games. When it was flounder season I went gig'n all night or crabbing. Lol..People dont appreciate being able to sleep all night until you cant.

I finally finished Big Little Lies. I loved it.

Today I have a dr appt so Carolina will go to my cousin. After the dr I am going to pick up my bridesmaid dress. It already came in and I'm shocked because they told us that it could take 4 to 5 months to arrive. We ordered them the day before the Super Bowl.

Have a great day everyone
