********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, My Many Merry Milestone Meeters.

And today we meet Milestone Marker number Four!
(Details pending)

Days to the Season: 243
Days to Christmas Day: 285

Today.
As of this very day.
We have completed the first THIRD of our voyage to Christmas Season 2017!
(The time passed quickly, didn't it?)
Is it too soon to look ahead the next marker?
Yes.
That can wait until tomorrow.
(Unless, of course, you are anxious and want to look at the chart.)

Another cold day here yesterday with little sun and some wind. Over an inch of rain fell Monday night.
Mild compared to what the northeast is facing, but less than pleasant compared to what we were experiencing here last week.
More of the same is in store for the balance of this week, so we had best get used to it.
Our current temperature is 25 degrees here in Raleigh (which does not go together with the azalea blossoms very well).

Well, Carl is aware of how wearing the cold weather has been on everyone, so today, in a break with tradition, a complimentary cup of HOT tea is being offered at the front door along with the usual fired twinkie.
(Isn't that camel thoughtful?)
I plan to be first in line unless someone else beats me there!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Friends!

Happy milestone day!

Wow, seems like alot of you got quite some inches of snow, hope everyone is doing fine!
Here in NL we've got a nice spring day ahead of us. It will be about 16C degrees (about 60F) today. Lucky for me cause it's my day off. Will probably do some work in the yard this afternoon and enjoy the sun. Have a great Thursday everyone!

Morning! Yesterday was the coldest March day we've had in at least a decade the weatherman said. But I think we knew when it was 60 in late February for days and days somehow we were going to pay. And we are...looks like a little more snow/sleet this weekend...beautiful. Hopeful by NEXT weekend we get a real warm-up or so the local weather guy said he believes will happen. Till then mostly below normal temps but I have a 3 day weekend coming up starting tomorrow so I'll enjoy that for sure. Hope everyone is alright this Thursday!

Good Morning.
Welcome to the day after and ten days before.

A bit metaphysical for you?
Hang on. The explanation will follow after the presentation of today's numbers.

Days to the Season: 242
Days to Christmas Day: 284

OK. We are now at the day after Milestone marker number four and ten days before Milestone marker number five.
<< Wait. Did you just say ten, Crown? TEN?? >>
That's right. It's only 10 short days to our next marker, which just happens to be the ONE QUARTER MARK to Christmas Day 2017. SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow.
<< How can we possibly be so far along so soon, Crown? >>
The magic of Christmas, I guess.

BRRRR! The temperature did not get above freezing all yesterday morning. Coupled with that, we had lots of wind, bringing that wind chill down to most uncomfortable levels.
This morning? Another cold start, at 27 degrees. At least it's calm and sunny this time.
A warming trend will commence this afternoon and tomorrow should see us into the 60's for the high.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everybody.
Weekend Eve will be cycling around once again tomorrow, you know!

Sheriff's Dept has shutdown all our roads in the county until at least 6am tomorrow. My buddies are all coming over on their sleds tonite...cabin fever
Oh yikes!!! Hope you had fun with your buddies last night!!! Are the roads open this morning?

Hello everyone!
Sorry I have been away for so long. Life just keeps me busy. I recently started my next class for my Master's. This one is Historiography, the study of how historians write and have written history. Anyway, between that and getting things ready for my Gettysburg trip, National Honor Society Inductions, grading and everything else... I just have not had much time.
In other news, things are going well. The weather is still nuts here in Ohio. Near 70 one day, snowing the next, in the teens the next day, then headed back into the 50s by the weekend. I am jealous of the huge snow the northeast has and is getting. We have had so little snow this year it is depressing. At no point have I had enough snow to shovel or really even sweep off the sidewalks. Maybe we will make up for it next winter.

I hope everyone is doing well. Happy Pines to everyone!
No need to apologize! You have to live life!! :) It's nice to see you though!! We did get gipped of snow this year!!! Glad to hear all is well! Good luck with your class!!!
Have a Merry Friday Eve!

Good Thursday morning! Sun is out but it's so cold still. The drive home last night wasn't too bad. I could not believe that people were coming out to shop. We're not a grocery store, we sell nothing that is essential (shrug). So another afternoon/evening shift for me. I'm about to walk Loki and then I'll be cutting out bird shapes for a project at work. We asked every employee to write down their goal, short or long term, and we'll be hanging them up on the ceiling of the employee lounge with the theme "Always higher" (hence being carried away by birds). It's for a contest and 500$ is the top prize. Employees had brilliant ideas, we went with this one. Anyway time to dress warmly and brave the cold and snow. Have a great day everyone!

Thank you both, we really appreciate the prayers. Surgery went well but she's in pain. Wish there was more I could do for her.
I hope everyday gets better for her!! xx

How sweet, they're beautiful. Enjoy them!
Thanks HMG! I'm hoping they stay so pretty for awhile!! My friend worked for years as a florist - she told me to put a little Mt. Dew in the water. And there's your tip for the day. Ha ha!

Evening, friends. Hope everyone is well. All my friends in the Northeast...stay safe.

Cold here, but nothing like some of you are going through. I will just keep my mouth shut about the weather.
LOL! Good morning coach!

Enjoy your day off & the beautiful weather!! We started the day off with 19º - feels like 10º! Brrrrr!!!!
