Yep....definitely knew we were going to pay!!!! :( You should have seen our snow last night. it WAS beautiful. Looked like a snow globe!!!! Nice to have a 3 day weekend - ENJOY!!!

That's right. It's only 10 short days to our next marker, which just happens to be the ONE QUARTER MARK to Christmas Day 2017. SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow.

BRRRR! The temperature did not get above freezing all yesterday morning. Coupled with that, we had lots of wind, bringing that wind chill down to most uncomfortable levels.
This morning? Another cold start, at 27 degrees. At least it's calm and sunny this time.
A warming trend will commence this afternoon and tomorrow should see us into the 60's for the high.

Good Thursday morning! Sun is out but it's so cold still. The drive home last night wasn't too bad. I could not believe that people were coming out to shop. We're not a grocery store, we sell nothing that is essential (shrug). So another afternoon/evening shift for me. I'm about to walk Loki and then I'll be cutting out bird shapes for a project at work. We asked every employee to write down their goal, short or long term, and we'll be hanging them up on the ceiling of the employee lounge with the theme "Always higher" (hence being carried away by birds). It's for a contest and 500$ is the top prize. Employees had brilliant ideas, we went with this one. Anyway time to dress warmly and brave the cold and snow. Have a great day everyone!

Seriously! ;) I read online yesterday to add Sprite or 7-up...but she said they did an experiment in floral design school & Mt. Dew won over sprite or 7-up. The flowers stayed healthy looking longer. They like the sugar. Who knew... :)

Happy Thursday MMC!! Another chilly day here and my oldest daughter is coughing so much so I am bringing her to the Dr at 2:30. Otherwise just a regular day for me. My husband is working late tomorrow night so I am making corned beef and cabbage tonight. Hope you all have a great day!

Our little bit of snow is pretty much all melted. It's been bitter cold, but the bright sunshine was enough to make it disappear!! And our green grass is looking more brown again! :( Blah!

It seems like the cough/flu is starting to make it's rounds again!!! Time for it to get warm & stay warm!!! (It's too late in the season to say get cold & stay cold...ha ha!) Hope your daughter gets better quick!!

Happy Thursday!! That is a picture I found online for a Haystacks recipe, which is similar to Emma's, but not quite. For Emma's recipe you layer: crushed town house crackers, then taco meat, noodles, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced bell peppers, diced carrots, diced onion, her homemade cheese sauce, crushed Dorito's, then top it with Salsa! She's also making homemade bread & swiss cake roll cake for dessert! Here are pics from our meal last year:

Hmm ... Mountain Dew is also caffeinated, which Sprite and 7-Up aren't ... I wonder if that's also a factor?
