TGIF, Christmas friends!

It's another beautiful morning, cool and sunny. The wind, however, returns this afternoon. I worked on washing the house yesterday afternoon, but the wind fought with me till dark. I need to finish this weekend.

Elizabeth's prom is tonight, and she's pretty excited. I want her to have a good time, but I don't intend to let her start dating at 16. This prom is a group of friends going together, the meal is catered at the school, and the school is two blocks away. I've made it clear that there's no reason to leave Bellville city limits. She said she understands. And I know the boy, he's a nice guy. But I also know what nice guys are thinking, too.

Anyway, last night Nancy & her sister took Elizabeth and her friends to get their nails done, pick up the dresses from alteration, and to dinner. This afternoon, they're all getting their hair done.

This prom is going to break my bank. There goes my new pressure washer budget! LOL

Morning all!! Poured down rain almost all night and at some point it turned to snow. I woke up to the roof covered and cars with some sticking to the grass. We are under a snow storm warning from noon on.

Have fun playing in the snow! Stay safe!

Got a text at 6am this morning that my niece was sick and my sister was running late so could I come get her and babysit today. Luckily I had already been up and chatting with Snowflake so I wasn't to groggy trying to get dressed and get out there. Of course Ella had to come along too. I'm ready to take both of them back home too. 3pm can't get here soon enough. Lol!!!

Ah ha ha! Have fun today!! Hope she's feeling better! Give that cute little Ella a hug from me 'n Grace! Good luck!!

Happy Friday!
Had a blast at the concert last night! Moving a little slow this morning but I don't have too much going on. I'm just going to run a couple of quick errands and work on the laundry. Giving myself a break tonight and ordering pizza for dinner. That's about it.

I remember prom, it was alright. Because of budget considerations, our school made us choose between a graduation ceremony or prom, of course prom won. Hope Elizabeth has a great time.

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

Wow, yesterday was crazy. I finally picked up Lulu form the vet. They showed me all the bladder stones that were removed. Bless her heart, her bladder was full of stones. She had that awful cone around her neck (it's called an Elizabethan Collar), and she looked miserable. When we got home I took it off of her, and watched her to make sure she didn't try to lick the wound. She was very happy after that, but obviously still in pain. Anyway, we let her sleep with us last night, and she seemed happier today.

About 7pm last night, my phone started speaking about a tornado in our immediate vicinity. I told Nancy, the kids & Lulu to get in my truck. We went to my work's main office, which is nearby and very sturdy. We also picked up Nancy's parents, her sister & a friend, and her niece with her two boys. We had a crowd in our conference room! When I got to the plant, I saw that a lot of guys were still out there working, so I called them in, too. It hailed and stormed for about a half hour, but the tornado missed by a couple miles. Whew!

I'm tired of excitement and weirdness. I'm want things to go back to normal!

Good Friday late morning! A day off filled with laundry. It's still grey and rainy here, hoping for some sun over the weekend. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Good Afternoon and TGIF. Today is a lot chillier then the past few days. Took the dog out this morning and the breeze had a crisp chill to it, reminded me more of a fall morning then a spring morning. We got our blueberry bushed delivered last night and we temporarily put them in the garage to keep the animals away from them. Will be busy tomorrow getting them into the ground and getting them fenced off. We have a lot of wild life around .. gotta protect those bushes.

Our house has no phone lines at all anywhere inside. It dawned on me one day and I started looking..I couldnt even find a box on the side of the house or the basement.

Thanks, Martine! She's much better today. Yeah, that's the first time I ever felt like I needed to get my family out of the house. I'm sorry for the affected people, but I'm so glad it passed us by!

Hey y'all! Back from an AWESOME John Mayer concert. Wow. He played almost 3 hours!! Great date with my husband, too. Now, to clean the house before my second busiest month of the year really kicks in...

May be here less (but hopefully not!!) until May but will try and check in for my stress relief! Hope everyone's doing well! I sure am loving baseball season and listening to the Masters, too! Lovely spring traditions.

Wow ... I can't even imagine that!

We use our cell phones anyways. We cant even get cable tv because they never run lines up the road. We have internet from cable company, but no tv. We just stream everything now.

Good Saturday morning! Working at 7am today, wish I could've slept more. It's quite cooler this morning but by Monday the temperatures will shoot up above 20°C/70°F. Will be happy to ditch my Winter boots. hope you will all enjoy a wonderful day and weekend!
