When I get a stubborn headache that I can't get rid of, I resort to Excedrin Migraine, and that usually helps. It takes a while for it to kick in, but it often gets rid of it and keeps it from coming back in a few hours.
I can usually get Goodies or BC powders to work for me also.

Thanks! I have never taken that. I'll have to look into it. We have some sinus stuff here at work that really seems to help stubborn headaches, but it didn't touch it yesterday. I just took 2 this morning. My headache is much better but still lingering just a little!
Excedrin Migraine is a "cocktail" of Tylenol, aspirin, and caffeine, so it packs a headache-killing punch.

I don't get them often, but those headaches that linger over a few days and fade a little without entirely going away are ... well, a pain!

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!! It's a dreary, WARM day here! We broke a record high yesterday - we hit 59º. The record was 58, set in 1975! Crazy!

Well, our forecast for 8-12" of snow is now down to 1-3"! Go figure!! It starts as freezing rain, which I can do without, for sure!!!

I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a good start!!

Today and Friday temps are in the 50's with rain. Saturday we have a snow warning and its back to the deep freeze. Stupid weather again this winter.

I am the last one standing with my lights on my street, I am thinking Sunday night will be the last night for my outdoor lights.
There are still quite a few lights up around town. Love it!
But on that note, my hubby took our outside lights down last night. At least the ones running along the roof line. He took advantage of the warm weather. :(

Good evening,

I should be heading back to work tomorrow, I did my usual Wednesday errands and had my psychologist appointment today. After I had that I went out and perused through the stores to see what is remaining for Christmas clearance, I found nothing to my liking. CVS had a lot of Christmas candy, but I held strong and didn't buy any as tempting as it was. I am worried about this rain storm we are supposed to get Friday into Saturday, they are predicting 2-3 inches of rain, that with the melting snow means the basement will most likely be flooding. It is always something, I would rather get 2-3 feet of snow than all that rain.
I hope you all had a great day
Goodnight, everyone
I hope the rain isn't as bad as expected. xx

Good morning ~
Happy Thursday!
It’s going to be cloudy and warmer today, highs near 47 degrees. I have an appointment this morning to have my hair cut and colored. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. Dinner will be fried chicken and homemade macaroni & cheese. That’s about it for me. Hope everyone is well. Have a great day!!!
xx
Enjoy your trip to the beauty parlor!! :D

Morning MMC! Well I almost forgot how long a 5 day work week was. It's only Thursday? Almost feels like it should be Friday haha. It should be a mild day here which I will take in January. My mom decided she want to get a new tree so I'm going to try to pick one up for her (obviously a fake one) 70% off. They still have a bunch. Her's is basically starting to lean over. It's decades old. Let's put it that way. Have a great Friday Eve!
Good luck finding a beauty of a tree! :)

Happy Thursday!
Just work for me today and catching up on laundry tonight.
Last night I noticed a couple of less houses lit up but my immediate neighbors still have theirs going strong. They usually keep them on until the end of the month.
My oldest is "craving" pasta so I am going to make homemade mac and cheese or fettucine alfredo..I will have to decide later.

Hope you all have a great day!
Have a great day SFM!! Pasta sounds good.

Speaking of caffeine....I need a coffee!!!

The office Christmas tree came down today. I knew my supervisor had been wanting to take it down, but didn't have the time and didn't know what to do with the decorations (all the ornaments were things I'd brought from home). So I packed up the ornaments today, and someone else dismantled the tree itself and packed it away. I'll store the ornaments at home until next year.

I realized too late we should have just packed up the ornaments and tinsel and left the tree with white lights for winter decor ...

This weekend I expect to pack away the ornaments on my small tree in the TV room (the main tree is already packed away). I'm toying with the idea of unplugging the multicolor lights and throwing a string of white lights on it for a few weeks as winter decor, at least until the evenings are less dark.

Great idea. Normally my sunroom tree, I take off the amber lights & put blue & clear lights on for winter with snowflakes & snowmen. Blue & sliver bulbs. But last year I enjoyed it as a Christmas tree (it has clear & amber lights) so much, it stayed up through March. Haven't decided yet if I'll make it a winter tree or leave it as is this year.

How about some Valentined Day stuff. Its kinda hard to find things, I managed to find some red necklaces once for Mardi Gras that look nice. But mainly its just homemade items on it.

Myself and the neighbor are still burning brightly. Once they get shut off they wont reappear until CIJ party weekend. ...unless..one of us sneaks around each others house and turns something on. Or randomly places yard ornaments in each others yard during the summer.

It's a great idea ... however, I'm not crazy about changing it for each holiday --- I'm thinking of something that won't take too much time and effort. That's why I was thinking of just quickly draping a string of white lights on it for a few weeks.

Can we see your Valentine's Day tree?

Good morning all. Been away since the beginning of the year and like so many of you in the past, this may be my year of "occasional" visits. A lot going on, especially between now and the start of the Spring season. Outside is down and got it done prior to this current cold snap. Wal-Mart's 90% off for Christmas decor (it began this AM) netted me some nice deals for the upcoming year. Basically I got $170 worth of items for $16.94.
Now I just have to find a place for everything. Take care all and have a great weekend.

Now the slick roads are supposed to be here by Friday night. I just want us all to get home from work & school before it happens! I would love to be holed up at home for a long weekend, since DD & I are off of Monday.

I just made camping reservations for Easter weekend & Memorial Day weekend, so I have something else to look forward too:
March: Easter weekend camping
May: Memorial Day Camping (moved from Labor Day since DD will be in marching band next school year)
June: Disney World
December: 25th wedding anniversary get away!

The year is shaping up!

Praying everyone who is under the weather is better soon!

Merry Thursday!

The temperature is balmy and the snow is almost gone leaving behind flooded areas and some patches of ice. It is very windy out, too, so maybe some of the water will recede and the other icy patches will melt. I hope so! Not sure what is in store for later this week other than much colder temperatures. When I put the weather channel on this morning it was just graphics for a town that is 50 miles away which usually has much different weather than we do.

Hanging out with my brother today! :)

Be safe and merry!
