Christmas Countdown - 2018

Hello everyone.
As others have mentioned the crazy weather continues. It was 76 degrees yesterday, lots of rain today, and snow showers and 30s coming on Monday. Then back to 70 by the end of next weekend.
The constant change in temperatures and all of the moisture is making my sinuses go crazy!

I so miss the warm weather from Thursday & Friday...

Good Sunday morning! It's Winter again as the thermometre currently reads -14°C/7°F with the windchill factor. As temperatures will rise, we'll likely get freezing rain later today/tonight. It feels like Spring will never come. I got up early and already have two loads of laundry and a few other chores done. Loki is sitting on my lap, waiting for his morning walk. He snubbed a piece of banana that I gave him, so I know his tummy is not feeling well, cause he never says no to a banana. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day.

I hope Loki is feeling better!!!

So this is how Loki stares at my red stress ball and then lies down hoping I'll throw it to him, when I do my physio exercises. Every. Single. Time.

9 years ago today I was sitting at the computer wondering how many days were left to Christmas. A quick google search later and I stumbled upon this site. I never would have imagined the joy and happiness it would bring me or the friends that I would make. Oh and meet a camel that used to be a government spy but now runs the coolest resort this side of the Mississippi.

Was really busy yesterday and didn't get to check in. The family went and spread my Dad's ashes as his favorite place on the Earth....his deer camp. Our deer camp has a church that was built in 1872 there and a huge open field behind it. There are two trees sitting out there and my Dad loved that spot. That is where we poured his ashes. It was an amazing time.

Today, more or the same....

Cleaning, cooking, getting my clothes ready for the week....and a little playoff basketball....not too bad of a day. This evening, I will submit my last paper (all 18 pages of it) for my specialist degree. I'm pretty excited.

Thank you Martine. Yes, it’s the first time Rocky has been around a group of dogs. We went over the basics, sit, stand, down, etc. I’m having a hard time with him, he doesn’t even want to walk on his leash. Hopefully he’ll learn to love it. I really want to walk him!

What a little stinker!! But he sure is cute!!

Good morning and Happy Monday!
We’re expecting lots of rain today, heavy at times with temperatures in the 50’s. I don’t have too much planned, I just need to run to the pet store. Other than that I’ll be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be chicken piccata and angel hair pasta. I’ll be helping my daughter do a couple of things in her new apartment later this evening. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Good Monday Morning. What a yucky day outside this morning, it's cold, really windy and pouring down rain. Today would be the most perfect day to be sick, and go crawl back into bed. Especially, since my Mrs is off for the week, it's their spring break, and with that, I'm like doing everything I can to keep myself from staying home with her today, tomorrow, the next day. Well, coffee is ready, and is calling my name.

Well, a rare Monday morning check-in for me....my normal routine involved waking up at 5:00 and working on my college assignments, but that is over, now. The early waking up? Not quite done....

Just checked the temp outside and it is 35 degrees.

What?!?!?! It is April the 16th...Mother Nature transposed her numbers...it should be 53, at least! This is non-sense. Bad news is that I put all my heavy coats up and I don't have anything to wear. Looks like it will just be a chilly morning!

Good Monday morning! Everything is an icy mess out there right now. Thankfully I have cleets so I could walk Loki this morning. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift but I have to take a conference call at 10am. Have a great day everyone!

Morning MMC. I'm off today and I got quite the rainy day. It's pouring out even with snow flakes mixed in and very windy. I'm going to the mall today as nobody will be there and I can look around and dream of the upcoming holiday season. Have a great Monday! I hope some day we all see nice weather for more than 1 day at a time!

After my last post yesterday, the storm warning was extended for six more hours, but nothing much came of it in my area of the county. Most of the ice that had accumulated on the trees thawed out, but there is still a mess on the ground. Shouldn't be around too much longer, though.

April 16th. Still snowing. Will it ever stop?

I can’t complain though. We are only going to get an inch maybe and I’ve been getting pictures from Snowflake of their 17 inches and it’s supposed to keep snowing through Wednesday.

Oh yikes!!! That's a lot of snow....even for Wisconsin in April!!!

All's good. I even more so, just wish I would of stayed home today instead of going into the office. I went and got a soup and salad at lunch, in this torrential rain, I get out of the truck and splash, right into a 4" deep, river, running across the parking lot. So now, my shoes and socks are all soaked. I get back to the office, and all of a sudden, we have a new rule; no eating salads at your desk! Salads may cause a mess upstairs where we sit. Yet, I can have all the coffee, tea, water, soda, (that could spill), crackers, cookies, fruit and yet, I cannot eat a salad. I'm just sitting here shaking my head, thinking really???

But, what can I say, it's not my company, I am not the boss, nor does my opinion or thoughts count or amount to a row of beans. I just said ok and that was it.
