Merry Friday Eve! Regular work day for me and we are supposed to have some more showers and humidity. Not too many plans for tonight just catching up on some cleaning and of course some Hallmark.

Yes, about 10.5 years ago already.
It was before our wedding, in our new house/neighborhood (in Las Vegas).
They kicked in our front door-frame was everywhere inside our house. Nails were tiny. Needless to say we bought huge nails, and put on a security door.
There was no such thing as a safe neighborhood there.
Anyways, they made off with all of our collectibles, family jewelry, electronics, laptop, even stole bedding of our bed to get it all out.
I came home to find the house like that, and I heard a noise upstairs so they could’ve still been inside. I ran out and called the cops. Vegas CSI showed up. Told us to get protection, an alarm, and a dog. We got all three.
The only thing they didn’t get was my engagement ring, since it was on my finger, and our wedding bands that I had wrapped up in the dresser. They had gone through the dresser, so we are lucky that they missed them. Our wedding was a couple short months later . Also unfortunate was everything on our laptop, including a video that Adrian had put together for our wedding reception. He had spent countless hours on it. Things you can’t replace.
Well, I sure needed one!!!!Full disclosure: I'm a professional proofreader.![]()
An external drive (or even more than one) is a good idea. I store all my music and some other "keeper" files on an external drive, and back that up with my Time Machine when I back up my laptop. I have to do the same for my digital photos. They're stored in multiple places. It's high time they should be consolidated and organized in one place where I can find what I'm looking for, before something happens to any of them.Thank you so much my friend, me too! I even had all my old Christmas music on it, Podcasts, and so much more. The pictures though, of my kids growing up, is what I treasure the most on it and I'm praying that it will wake up out of its long sleep and work.
Since they keep pushing his as the 31st year of CIJ on QVC. Wish they would show some old footage over the years
Good morning, Christmas fantatics. For a change, I have an update of my own today. Last evening was too fantastic not to share.
My dear son and daughter-in-law got the whole family together to announce the gender of the child they are expecting this December on my birthday. (It will be great having another Christmas baby in the family!) They are having a boy. This will be our first (of many, I hope) grandchildren. All are very excited to welcome this precious little one into the family!!!
Also, the kids had a conference behind closed doors after the big baby announcement. After they let me and my wife into the room, they told us that they are taking us to Frankenmuth for a day next month to celebrate our 30th anniversary. A day of all of us hanging around and enjoying the city (BRONNER’S!!!!) and ending with a room all to ourselves at Zehnder’s for a chicken dinner, conversation, and games.
Life is good!!!
Merry Rudolph Day everyone. The dental appointment is done. I've taken the dog for a little walk and he found a lovely mud puddle to wade into. He was happy. Me not so much.
The 2018 Christmas card exchange is up and running, so I've just signed up and look forward to sending out all the wonderful Christmas cards when the season starts.
We're off to visit relatives this afternoon and do a little shopping. Have a great day all and keep cool.
P.S. This isn't the puddle, but he was this dirty today.

Hey friends! going on about eight hours sleep from the last two nights...total. I'm exhausted.
Kids are watching movie and the oldest just had a lip sucking, snot pouring, crying fit because the person on the movie made their dog go outside in the snow...she kept saying it was a "gum'dad shame" they did they did that to their dog.
Good Morning. I'm here early on MMC today as you can see. I got my coffee, the kitties have all be loved, scratched and played with and I'm all ready to go to work, except, I have no pants to wear.....
I put them in the washing machine last night, I forgot about them and went to bed. This morning, I got them out of the washer and shook them (oh so wrinkled) and I threw them into the dryer. lol, I'm hoping that they dry in time and that they don't look like a scrunched up newspaper when I pull them out.
It's still raining here, "Really"!, we go from nothing to everything. I see on the Weather channel, that there is a lot flooding going on up and down the East coast now. Prayers going out to anyone effected by this mess.
It Thursday, one more day and then it's the last weekend in July! How about that, the month just blew by and we will be in August next week. How cool is that huh? We are getting closer and closer to the Ber's!!! Yea!!!!
I did pretty good until I started doing scrapbooking. Then it took so much time, I got so far behind...and I've never picked it up again! I save all my photos to Shutterfly & Amazon prime. I also have 2 back up drives....but I have to admit, I haven't used them for awhile!!!! Sorry to hear you lost your photo's!I love that!!
I used to be, and then technology changed. I wish I would’ve stuck with it. We lost about 5 years worth of photos stored on a laptop that was stolen in the break-in.
Good morning MMC ~
Just popping in quick. I’m heading out in a couple of minutes, I have a routine doctor appointment. I’m running behind schedule here but I just wanted to wish all of you a nice day ahead. I’ll be back later to catch up!
xx

Thanks Crown! This humidity has been making me start to dream about the Bers!Good Morning, Folks.
Over the hump and down the slope we come to the weekend, with tomorrow being Weekend Eve again already!
Let's run today's numbers up the flagpole and see if they fly:
Days to the Season: 110
Days to Christmas Day: 152
And what about the 100-Day Season Window?
Well sir, that is now only TEN days away.
SINGLE DIGITS FROM TOMORROW!
(It's really and truly true!)
Still the rainy/humid conditions yesterday, but the temps were not high.
Today will see the situation reversed - a high back in the 90's but with only a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
We currently observe 71 degrees here on our back yard thermometer.
May you have the most Thrilling Thursday of your lives to date, Friends.
(And thinking about Christmas just might help do the job!)
