• Christmas Ornament Exchange
I just emailed those on the list already a preliminary list for this year. I've done this for two reasons -- first, I need all here to double check their data to make sure it is accurate. Second, for our friends living in the UK and other areas that could be affected by a possible mail strike we can get their cards out ASAP.

We will have some folks sign up at the last minute -- it happens every year.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeff did you mean for it to be an email list? Because that is all I got.

thats ok, i was just curious because mr. hj asked if it was gunna be ecards this year.

Thanks for the correction list Jeff. I also thank you for the kudos, but you really did not have to do that. I am as I type this, getting my mailing labels figured out. Mr. HJ said to say "hello" and a "Merry Early HO HO HO" to everyone.

we are using the habitat for humanity holiday labels for our return address. We support a bunch of charity places throughout the year and lets just say we have more than enough Christmas return address labels to do us for a few years. I am just going to print out the mailing labels.

Ok, I am not on the list yet, but I was wondering, should I use my home address or get a post office box. I was leaning more towards the post office box, but is it worth it for the expense of the post office box? Or would that be the best choice?

Just signed up for this exchange as well. :tree:I can't wait to get started on my cards.

? Does everyone usually send to everyone on the list?

I send to everyone.

I'm going to make the mail labels also.

QUESTION:

When I'm sending to our friends across the pond, how much postage should I put on the envelope? Also, when should I send those out because I want it to get there before the strike happens.

I think it depends on where you are mailing to. If you check the USPS website you should be able to look up rates. We just got signed up and I am looking forward to it!

Well I am officially signed up and cant wait to get started. I guess the earlier the better. As soon as the list comes out, I will get started. Maybe since my tree will be up before Thanksgiving, I can use the weekend to do my cards. Thats after black friday shopping of course. cheesy

It's already started BUT at the moment, it's only a couple of days at a time. They're off today and tomorrow and then we'll see. I think the plan is that they strike a few days at a time (so far) so hopefully it won't snarl things up completely :-?

The list seems quite a lot shorter than last year !! Where is everybody ????
