:hello: Thanks for the "blossoms"!

Wonder what next year will deliver.

Hope Santa delivered a few cameras on Christmas Eve so more members can share the "Christmas blossoms" in their areas next year (well, this year).

Crown, wonderful Christmas decorations you put up for your father's
house. What a kind gesture. I also loved the "North Hills" night time
lit up Christmas tree.

I was one of the lucky ones who received a new digital camera for
Christmas and I promise to try and post some Christmas and snow
pictures as soon as my son can take the time to help me. :tree:

Thanks, Sparkling!
Looking forward to seeing them.

I haven't forgot Crown. Our daughter is leaving very shortly to return
to the east coast and then my son said he would help me post our
snow pictures.

Great, Sparkling!

I had an opportunity in the middle of January to take photos of the undecorating of the mall display and the Christmas aisles at Wal-Mart. I couldn't bring myself to snap the photos. They would have been a bit depressing. Most of the items were already packed away, but two aisles were full of boxed items, trees the top of the shelves that held the inflatables were empty, etc.

:rudolph: This is a happy blossom thread, I'm glad I went with my instinct and decided not to take pictures of the bleak sign that Christmas 2008 was over.

Thankfully, we have Christmas 2009 and a future blossom thread to look forward to in about 227 days. cheesy

:hello: Looking forward to your photos, Sparkling Star.

OK, Folks!
Time to launch my annual "Christmas Blossoms" thread!

The purpose of this thread is to provide a place where everyone who wants to can post Christmas related photos they, family or friends have taken.
(No copy/paste from the internet, please!)

What we are mainly looking for is signs of Christmas you spot as we move toward, and then into, the 2008 Christmas Season.

To get things started, here are a couple of photos I took yesterday at our Crabtree Valley Mall shoping center where the annual shop "A Christmas To Remember" just opened!

Now last year, we had lots of interest but few contributions.
I hope this year will be different!
So get your digital (or non-digital) camera ready and watch for signs of Christmas!
Post them here.
Thanks, guys!

This store appears at Crabtree every year but not in the same place.
You just never know where it will pop up!
(Kind of fun to speculate on!)

I know this place very well. I live in Apex

We are off to the annual Raleigh Christmas show this morning. Over 300 vendors/displays!
Will try to get some photos for the thread.

Is this the show at the civic center? (downtown)
I believe there is a Christmas show at the NC State Fairgrounds on Thankgiving weekend,A Carolina Christmas. There's another show called "A Christmas Carousel" But I forget when that is held. Possibly the same time as the Raleigh Christmas Parade at the NC State Fairgrounds.

Thanks for the pictures everyone posted

I know this thread is old but just wanted to thank those who posted pics. It was a joy to sit here and look through them! Now back to work! LOL:snowball::tree::treeguy:

Glad you enjoyed it, ILC.
And yes, the annual Christmas show is downtown.
Used to be in the Civic Center until they tore it down a few years ago. Now, it is across the street in the newly built "Raleigh Convention Center".

Sorry for the late response! I haven't been in this thread for a while.

The new convention center is similar to the old one (but more attractive inside).
There is also a nice covered/protected parking deck where you can get out of your car and walk through an access area out of the weather.
(Of course, you have to pay for it!)
