YABBA.. ESKIMOS.. THE PASSION...

Ah! Binger! Alaska!
We enjoyed our visit there last year.
Whales, Bald Eagles, fantastic scenery!
You'll love it. (And no doubt will find new, regional coffee blends to enjoy!)

Good Morning, All!

Days to the Season: 151
Days to Christmas Day: 193
A mere 10 days to the 1/2 Christmas Day marker!

A beautiful, sunny 74 degrees outside here in Raleigh at this hour.
A nice, steady rain fell for a good part of the night.
Perhaps some brown will be changing to green today!

Have a Super Sunday, Friends!
Get all rested up to begin moving another week closer to our fantastic Christmas Season!

Speaking of tongue twisters, this is supposedly the most difficult:
"The sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick".
WOW!

Sorry to hear about your friend, Auntie.
I'll bet she was a classy lady.

Happy Father's Day to all you dads!! Another beautiful day here in Montana. Larissa and I plan to make her daddy dinner this evening. We plan to put some salmon fillets on the grill and have salad with it. For desert we will be having cheesecake. Larissa got her dad a card, fishing lures, a new case for his lures. And a Winchester knife set. I hope everyone has a great day.

My

Someone else passed away today. The world didn't know her, but those who knew her (and those who knew her very well - she was a private person) will miss her greatly. My friend, Pat lost her battle with cancer this morning.

Jack Lemmon once remarked, "Death ends a life, but it doesn't end the relationship." I tend to agree.

My heart is heavy for you Auntie. Yes, memories remain to continue the relationship.

Good Afternoon Friends!

Boy, I sure miss having a computer, it has become such an important part of our lives. I've found myself going to sit down at my dead computer several times. I am ordering a new DELL online and should be here next week. Just when you thought "shes finally gone"....I'll be back!cheesy

I'm still shocked over Tim Russerts death, I really liked him....

Sorry about the loss of your friend, Auntie.

Take care....

:tree:

.......Just when you thought "shes finally gone"....I'll be back!....
Just when you thought it was safe to go online again.........
Hey! We would truly miss you if you were really gone!

cheesy Thanks for the comments regarding my friend. I'm doing okay.

Spent four hours with my dad and my husband a brief ten minutes with my mother and a little over an hour with my brother.

Wasn't my idea of how the day was going to go, but hey, it's Father's Day so he gets to call the shots.

Son #1 called this morning, son #2 has yet to call, but is probably being spoiled well-done style by his children and will call later - got a touching letter from him to pass along to my husband via email.

Salmon on the grill sounds great, Annette. We had a big meal for lunch and are having a lighter dinner. We had seasoned chicken thighs and potato salad.

We've been surviving on fans so far, the AC goes in next weekend to prepare for the first week of July which we anticipate will be very - very hot.

Have fun in Alaska, Binger!

Nice to see ya Cedar!

Happy Fathers Day all you Dads!! We had a nice day at the lake with both our families...41 people...food, food & more food!! We grilled out hamburgers, green onion brats, cajun brats, hot dogs, chili cheese hot dogs, & I made lasagna, vidalia onions augratin, strawberry pie, a salad w/ lettuce from the garden, & a mexican dip. Everybody else brought cheese potatoes, fruit, pineapple cake, cookies, brownies, deviled eggs, potato salad, cherry pie, spinach dip, cheese ball... (see what I mean by lots of food...lol) A storm moved in tonight, but not until everyone was gone, so that worked out well!

Auntie, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. May she rest in peace!

Cedar, so glad to hear you'll be back with us soon!!

Is it really Monday already tomorrow????? :?

Have a good night!!!

Hi AMD...So sorry to hear about your friend. Sounds like you had a nice lunch. My salmon turned out great, I also had bought a cheesecake from WalMart...they are soooo good. They have like different slices in one cake to choose from. Like chocolate, plain, carmel apple and strawberry swirl so it's a nice variety. Hope everyone had a good Father's Day...we did. =)

.......I was thinking yesterday that before you know it we'll have the lights and the music and the decorations all over and the malls and that chill in the air and presents and everything!.....
Sounds like you have a good feel for the Season, my friend!

Good Morning, fellow Christmas lovers!

It's MONDAY!

Awww, does that just not have the same ring as FRIDAY!?
Well, consider that we are now down to single digits to the 1/2 Christmas Day marker. Feel better about it?

Days to the Season: 150
Days to Christmas Day: 192

The temp stands here at a very nice 74 here in Raleigh at this hour.
It should be a good one - and the birds sound like they agree!

Have a Marvelous Monday, everybody!

You are SO right...it does not have the same ring, but single digits to the 1/2 way to Christmas Day certainly does help!! :-D

Good Monday morning everyone!! So far it is a BEAUTIFUL Ohio day!! Wish I had the day off work. At least one of my 2 bosses is gone today! :???: It's always better when the boss is away!! Lol!!

After all that good food yesterday, I am hungry today!!!! Lol!!

Have a great day!

Good Day! Been a busy day here. DD had singing lessons and swimming lessons this morning. She loved both, so that's a plus. This afternoon b/f and I floated the Yellowstone River in our raft. Had a great time...we seen deer and pelicans. Hope everyone had a good day.

Mamma is here, Weather has been on & off thunderstorms, with high winds, & hail.
Auntie so sorry about your friend,I know how hard it is to loss someone close to you , my prayers to you & her family.
Cedar I know how it is to be without a computer mine is all messed up so I can't get into here, so my stepbrother did something so he could & I am using that IP. Have tried different things & we have no idea what is going on.

(Use Enough Coffee! )

One can never ever use enough!

Right Jay?

YABBA!

I miss Cedar.. I hope she gets her computer fixed or a new one soon...

YABBA!

Good point, Dom. We need to keep on our pace to reach 5,000 posts by the end of the year!

Well try this on for inspiration: We will be only 1 week away from the 1/2 Christmas Day mark as of tomorrow!
Not enough??
Well get a load of THIS statistic: We are 82% of the way from the start of Christmas Season 2007 to the single digit mark until Christmas Season 2008!!
WOW!

Days to the Season: 149
Days to Christmas Day: 191

It is 74 here in Raleigh at this hour.
Rain is a possibility but it should be a bit cooler than the 95 we had yesterday.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Friends!

Massive storms here last night- woke me up.. so I fixed a quart of coffee.. sat and watched the storm... then went back to bed.... now up and working on another quart.. I'm not the least bit tired.. not sure why, but I'm not!

Good morning!! It was a quiet day here yesterday! Christmas really is going to be here before we know it...and I have to be honest, I am not ready! I love, love, love summer!! I also love celebrating Christmas all summer long! :hello: I just enjoy being able to walk outside without putting on shoes, a big coat, gloves, & a hat! I also like summer laundry much better...no bulky sweaters, sweat shirts, & jeans = less loads of laundry! :-D So I'm going to enjoy soaking up the sun & celeberating Christmas! Now don't get me wrong...Christmas wouldn't be Christmas to me w/o cold & snow...so I'll be ready for that by the time November/December gets here (ready or not... ) but I'm not going to wish away my summer! After saying all that...the countdown to Christmas & the thought of Christmas getting closer is totally exciting to me!!! Does that make any sense at all???? Lol!!!

Have a great day!!!

Gee Holiday! I'm the exact opposite of you!! I can't stand summer! It's so hot and muggy and I feel like I stink every time I go outside because I start sweating!! Summers here in Georgia aren't as pleasant. We usually have 90% humidity, a high somewhere around 100 and swarms of gnats and mosquitoes that think your sweat is barbecue sauce so it makes your skin even more delicious! I have like four new mosquito bites since yesterday and all I did was walk to my car! I can't wait for Fall! Even though here in Atlanta, it doesn't arrive until November!
