Christmas Countdown - 2009

Looks like another long day at Walmart for the wife and me. We've put off grocery shopping and halloween party shopping for as long as we can. I'd be much more excited about going if the Christmas stuff was already out. Maybe I'll turn this into "buy my first Christmas present" day.

Man....me 2...but I'm kinda excited....we are going to hobby lobby and we are going to look at Christmas and Halloween decor....I'll tell ya what....we will make sure we get that gift together...I'm going to buy one too....

Made...sometimes I think Jr. is writing off his life as one big birthday party....lol...

Well, looks like it's going to be another rainy and messy weekend....but that's ok too....I got some work to do and the rest of the time will be spent relaxing!

i barely have anytime to get on here lately, newborns take up so much time! i'm hoping she will be a bit more settled a month from now and i will have a bit more time.

I am sure that she will get on a routine soon. Then you will have some time to start baby proofing everything before she learns to crawl and walk and starts getting in to everything. My youngest niece who is 17 months old now likes to go out in the kitchen and get in the silverware drawer when no one is looking and get out one of her baby forks. She then just walks around with it and starts yelling if you try to take it away. cheesy

Looks like another long day at Walmart for the wife and me.

I went to our wal-mart yesterday at 2 in the afternoon and was amazed at how busy it was. I had to park in the overflow lot that they have on the other side of the main drive in to the shopping complex. I have never seen it that busy on a weekday. In fact I don't think it was that busy on black friday last year. Maybe the pouring down rain and cool temps got everyone in the mood to start christmas shopping.

The sun is back out here today after three days of rain. I think most of my day will be spent cleaning my apartment and baking stuff with apples. I went to the orchard and got a peck so now I just have to figure out what I want to do with them. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karate was great! Kids had a good time,I got to run to the store and had plenty of time left to put the stuff away.Dreary here,the leaves are beautiful.I need to take pic's and show ya's.

ballcoach, i just had my first experience with hobby lobby and I love that place. I've been twice in one week. Bought both Christmas and Halloween stuff. That place is insane in how much they fit into that one building. Makes me wanna be crafty and make all kinds of stuff and I've never wanted to do any of that. The wife and I are talking about a complete overhaul of our Christmas ornaments after going there.

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

I just got back from church. Every first Sunday (although this is second Sunday), the men have a prayer breakfast, and today was my day to cook. I got there at daylight, cooked, cleaned, came home to shower, them back to service at 9:30 am! Whew!

While I hate being away from the countdown for a couple of days, I LOVE coming and seeing how quickly the numbers have disappeared! Only 33 days till the season?!? It just doesn't seem possible!

Its only 38 degree this morning here in St. Louis and I am shivering while typing this. I suppose it is officially time to turn the furnace on! Brrrrrrrrrr!!! High is only supposed to get up to 53 today. Chilly!

I don't know if it is the particular mall that I work in, or if it is all over, but sales are projecting to have a GREAT Christmas season at work. We have been busy, busy, busy for the past 3 weeks. I expect to be hearing Christmas music playing in the food court with the way our lines have been! That is very exciting after a very dismal sales season last year. Here's hoping the trend continues...I know that I'll enjoy it either way, at least!

Happy Thanksgiving, Canada! Hope you enjoy the feast...it's really got me fired up for our Thanksgiving in a little over a month.

Hobby Lobby yesterday was wonderful. Seeing all the decorations out and imagining where every single item they had could go in my house was almost more than I could handle. I know we haven't even got to Halloween, but it's never felt like Christmas this early. Alot of it, I think, is because our weather here is off. We've been running 10-20 degrees below normal since June. Now, we are getting some weather that we even have around Christmas sometimes. So it just kinda feels like Christmas...

Today....I'm making Chili and watching football/nascar...hope you enjoy your day as much as I'm going to!

Sounds great!!!!!! Junior didn't look to bad in practice yesterday. He had the 7th best time in the 5 lap averages. He has always seemed to do better when he starts in back.

Well I had to break out the ice scraper for the first time this morning. We had a low of 29 last night and the high is only going to be in the low 50's today. I think i like coach's plan of football and nascar. I don't have the stuff to make chili so I will have to live with warm apple cider and apple muffins.
