I asked who's Idea was it to walk? My son pointed to his younger sister,I looked over at her and I swear it was straight outta a cartoon, whistling, looking up at the sky with a big coolaid smile on her face,She's 7 1/2!!! LOL
I had to pick my heart up off the ground.one of the teachers was like, dont panic, dont panic, the Principal said we've never lost, but we've misplaced a few!!! I wanted so badly to kick them both down the stairs, but luckily my hubby has the cooler head and sad we dont have enough to bail you outta jail.lol :)
My kids did the same thing once when they where around that age. I was late because I forgot school got out early that day. The 3 of them where sitting on the front steps, really annoyed with me.
It really does make your heart miss a beat or two when they are not where they are supposed to be!

Good Morning, my SINGLE-DIGIT to the Season Friends!!

Yes, Indeed:
Days to the Season: 9
Days to Christmas Day: 51
Wow, Friends. Just Wow!
NINE! How can it be only NINE??
But the figures don't lie.
Hey! Getting your special posts ready??
Minta, you are up first on Nov 8. That's only 4 days away, my friend.
Can't you just feel the excitement, everyone?

Cold. We stand barely out of the 30's at this hour here in Raleigh.
But it's nice and calm with the sun shining.
We should reach the low 60's by this afternoon with virtually no chance of rain.

OK, Folks and Fellow Shispering Pines fans!
It's the peak-of-the-week and time once again to meet at the 'Pines for mouth watering fired twinkes and the sweetest Southern Tea this side of heaven.
Holiday, Carl and I will be waiting to see you there!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody!

We spent all day cleaning up the outside and putting up lights and decorations. Still only got about half way done. Found out that we are short a few strands of lights and a few net lights so we are heading this morning to get those so we can finish up today. My neighbour right up the street put his up too and even already had them burning last night so that just makes me want to get them finished even more.

We had a neighbor from across the street come over and bah humbug us! I couldn't believe it! And another neighbor tried to tell us we were doing it too early and now he was going to be pressured by his wife to put his up. The nerve of people I tell you. I just smiled and said 52 Days Til Christmas. I'm not stopping today until the lights can stay on.

Hope everyone has a great day.

I hope that everything works out for you

I've decided that this year I'm going to try to go and see my little cousins in a Nativity play if I am home when they perform it- that'll make me feel so Christmassy, remembering what it used to be like to do those shows!!!

I hope you get to go!!!!cheesy

You are going to have a lot of reading to do. The post count has really picked up lately.

WoooHoo only 9 days to the season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is going to be cooler then the last couple of days and that is putting me more in the christmas spirit. I don't have much on the agenda for today so I may go do some more christmas shopping. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

I'd love to go to Pigeon Forge sometime, though LOL. From what I understand, they are VERY similar at the holidays (and probably all year round). I think next year we will try PF, as we've been to Branson several times now. I'll have to remember to hit you up for suggestions in that area.
Will do, just let me know. cheesy

Good Wednesday Morning, my Christmas friends!

Man, I just despise when daylight savings time ends. I have a side business after my regular job. It's all outside stuff, and it gets dark about an hour after I get off work. :-?
I need some night vision goggles.

Aside from that, I'm having a great week, and I hope you all are, too!cheesy

I'm another one who regrets the end of Daylight Saving (not Savings) Time, especially when it gets to the point where I arrive at work shortly around sunrise, and leave work around sunset. And spend the day in a cubicle far from any window. My remedy is to go for lunchtime walks, and to take advantage of the weekends and spend time outdoors: yard work, hiking, and college football games. cheesy

Good day, everyone!!

A little late on my celebratory post, but here it is! We're into single digits!! Can you believe it?! 9 days until the Season! Woohoo! I can't wait to put those Christmas tunes on my iPod and listen to them until New Years! I've started downloading some more already, too!

It's chilly in Ottawa today. A great sign. The high is expected to reach 4C (39F) with sunshine!! Looking at my calendar, it appears that I am a week away from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert next Wednesday. How exciting!! Also, I am going to pick up tickets today for A Christmas Carol in iMAX 3D! I hope they're still available.

The posts are definitely picking up and I look forward to seeing the spirit of the board transcend to everyone else in the world! Have a great day, everyone!

Okay I just noticed that 104 members have been on the site today but only 57 have posted. To the 47 members who didn't post I say come join in the fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am stoked!
I know the season doesn't start until the 13th on this thread, but it is starting for me tomorrow. Yes, on Thursday, Nov. 5, WOLX out of Madison, WI is switching to its annual all-Christmas format. "Madison's home for the Holidays, WOLX."
I can't believe I'll be able to listen to christmas music on the radio on my way to work tomorrow. It still feels like we just got done with Christmas 2008. Time to set my radio dial and leave it for about the next two months. The only complaint I have with it is that Christmas music stops at midnight on Dec. 26. I wish it would last through the 12 days of Christmas, but I at least would like it through New Years.

I'm kind of in the same boat with my job. I am stressed, working long hours, barely getting by and staring reduced hours in the face. Good luck to you, and I want you to know that I'm there with you. When I feel real troubled, I think of my wife and daughter and the good things I have and realize that things could be a lot worse (which is hard to remember for me a lot of the time). God bless.cheesy

98.7: The River here in Savannah posted a poll on their website to find out when we wanted the Christmas music to start. They broadcast it on the radio and stream it free from their website. At this moment, "Right Now!" is beating out "Not Before Thanksgiving" by 6 percentage points.

Come on, "Right Now"!!cheesy
