Hello everyone! Well, it looks like summer has returned this week. I let my dog out this morning at 3:15 and it was so humid out. It's supposed to be 91 today. If it makes it to 91 I think that it will be the first time this summer that we have hit 90 degrees! It's been a nice, comfortable summer. Supposed to be in the mid 80's all week. Good Morning! Yesterday was a very long and buzy day but it was also a great day. RJ had a blast, everyone over ate...LOL! Not much time for rest today as Jade and a birthday party to go to this afternoon at a roller staking rink.

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday....spent most of it in the yard....and then around 6 got in the shower and the wife and I went for a night out....so no cooking on the grill...maybe today

Happy Sunday everyone! We're off to church and then to celebrate my mom's birthday! It is supposed to be a hot one today and I'm hoping to stay inside as much as possible!

Last night, I was watching a Dave Ramsey dvd for a class that my DH and I are getting ready to teach at church. He said at one point - "I just don't understand why Christmas always seems to surprise people?? It comes every year, so why does it surprise people that they need money for it?" I turned to DH and said, it doesn't surprise me! Only 139 days until Christmas and only 9 paychecks until the big day!

I think that I am not Dave Ramsey's normal example for that, though! Not everyone has Crown (and Minta filling in) to help them with a daily countdown!

Well today is going to be a day to relax and watch the nascar race. I think i am going to pull out the cookbooks and search for some new recipes to try. I having been making the same old things now for a while and it is time to spice it up. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Stratford it is! The play was great and very well done, as usual.


Having your baby dedicated is when you present him / her to the church and promise to raise them according Biblical prinicples. That you will, when they are old enough, teach them about Jesus and what He did for them on the cross, giving them the opportunity to accept Him as part of thier lives. At this time the church also promisies to support the family and be there when they need help of any kind.

Well they didn't get it in so I guess I know what I will be doing tomorrow afternoon. The radar didn't look that bad but I guess it just hit at the perfect time. Oh well I got a nap in and then turned it to golf. Hope you had fun at the birthday party.

we had thunder storms and tons of rain this morning, power went out in the middle of church but only for a couple of minutes. This afternoon the sun came out and temps soared to 36c and humidity so thick it took your breath away. Now it is thundering and raining again...storm warnings out all over the province.
Other than that I have had a great day!

Now we are having almost non stop lightening...most likely will loose power again...maybe I should turn this thing off till it passes.

The joy of being around 7 yr olds on their birthday....very cool...very fun...you know, it's almost as if you have given them the world! Even though it's just a simple gift...they are so happy....kinda like me at Cmas!!!!!

On a serious note, my email account that I used to register with got shut down b/c I didn't check it....do I need to get another one or what?? can someone point me in a direction? thanks!

Well, the Crownster is back for better or worse.
Nice trip to South Carolina, although it is alway very hot down there this time of the year. The reunion is held inside a church so we do get the benefit of air conditioning.
Stayed at a nice state park (same place for the last 20 years). I always look forward to going.

And speaking of looking, look how far the count has moved since I have been gone:
Days to the Season: 95
Days to Christmas Day:137.
And the 3/4 mark to the Season coming up in a mere 4 days.
Incredible!!

Sunny and calm at this hour here in Raleigh where we stand at 78 degrees.
This is supposed to be the only rain free day of the work week, so I had better enjoy it (heat and all).
