83 in Western Wisconsin. Forecast highs in the 70s for much of the week. About 76 days until I can pick up Christmas music on the radio (the station is from souther Wisc. and the signal is weak, but I can pick it up great for 20 of my 45 mile commute.) They start Christmas music the first week of November.

Good Afternoon everyone. It has been a very busy day for me today. Glad it's almost over. It is also very hot and icky outside.....
Yesterday I made a loaf of banana nut bread....the house was smelling very festive. Then I decided to take inventory of all the gifts we got the kids for Christmas and I discovered a bag of gifts that I had forgotten about. Bought them back in Feburary, stuck the bag in the attic but it never made it into the totes. So the kids are now more then 1/2 way done. Just need to get their main gifts and the rest of their stocking stuffers and they will be done.

Well have a nice evening all....

Wow! You are lucky!

I couldn't belive that those little rain showers kept finding the track. At least it only caused a few delays and didn't rain it out again. It was a good day though with Dale JR finishing third!!!!!!!!!!cheesy

Jr. 3rd...something to cheer about finally!!

just wanted to tell my favorite online community good nite! sweet dreams everyone!

Hey Friends! Hope you are doing great! Good day today at work and I hope yours was too! When I got home from work tonight, DH had the side wall of the crib taken off b/c he was washing my little girl's sheets. She just turned 2 and I've been thinking about transitioning her to a big girl bed, but just couldn't bring myself to do it (b/c then I would have to admit she is getting bigger!) Well, since the bed was right there, I just quick decided not to put the side wall back on! I took Kaylin to bed and she laid right down, read a story, said good night to Jesus and went right to sleep! Never even tried to get out of bed! I can't believe how easy that was!

Now we'll just have to see how early I will be awake tomorrow morning, right?

Whoops - may have an update already on the big girl bed. I just heard a thud come from the other side of the house and so I think Kaylin may have rolled out of bed. She didn't wake up though, so I don't really want to go in and risk waking her up LOL. Oh the new adventures that we go through as parents!

Good Morning. Weather is bright and warm. Today I will do the house and do some grocery shopping. After that...I might take Kandice so she can ride her bike.

I'm home from my trip to Maryland. I went to visit my friend in Pax River and we went to the Air and Space museum at the Smithsonian in DC. We walked on the mall but, it was so hot and humid that we just called it a day and headed for the metro to go home. I took 2 days off of work for the trip. I thought I might only need one but, by the time I got home yesterday I just decided to use the 2nd day as well so I'm sitting here in the living room at 6 am watching tv and posting on here! Back to work tonight though.

good morning MMC!

We are back to rain here. Took my daughter to pick up a bed frame for her college room last night (one of those metal things, single bed on top and futon on the bottom) She was not convinced it was as far away as I said it was, so it ended up close to 11:30 before we finally got home. She may have gotten a good deal on it, but money spent on gas made up for that! cheesy Oh well, what are parents for anyway!?

Good morning all

Blustry day here in Ireland.

I've woke up with a great Christmas feeling today. I'm going to have a Christmas movie day.
I recently bought A Christmas Story on ebay and it arrived yesterday so that is the first one on my list. I havent seen it yet but have read so much about it on this forum

Happy Christmas everyone :tree:

Christmasstar- you're right, that's what parents are for! haha!!! Mom's do that kind of stuff, I know my mom would.

Irishsnow- I know you'll love Christmas Story. It's great! I just got the anniversary edition last year for Christmas and I haven't opened it yet but, it has cookie cutters in it so I'll be opening them so I can make sugar cookies this year. It also came in a box that looked like a crate. This is about the 3rd copy I've owned! I love this movie so much.

I think I will be ordering it, too....I think I saw it a few years back....there was this little blond boy...and there was something with a toygun or something like that....is it that?

Wow! You are lucky!

Thanks....I have been keeping my eye out for clearance sales and other sales and have been shopping since January. A few months ago TRUS had certain games for buy 1 get one 1 free and anothers that were 50% off so we bought a couple games for each of our kids. Now not all their gifts are toys. They also get clothes from mom and dad so that is where the winter clothes clearance sales come in....

But the stuff we have left to get are the big gift item which are also the most expensive. DD wants a nintendo DS + games and our little guy will be getting a pocket v-smile plus cases for each.

hmmm someone is sleeping in this AM... surprise..surprise..

Y A B B A !
