Good Morning, Everyone!

Crown is back, just in time for:
Friday Eve! Day 50 to the season! The day before our next Milestone! The passing of the 5,000 post mark for this thread! Our near closing in on a thread post record!
Wow!! So much to revel in!

Days to the Season: 50
Days to Christmas Day:92
Our next Milestone - Tomorrow! - The 3/4 mark to Christmas Day!

Nice trip to Florida. Took our old route down (US 301). Had not been that way for about 35 years. Much had change along the way but much had not.
Still a sleepy road lined with those little old-fashioned motels, sadly many of which are now closed.
My father is 84 and my uncle is 86, and his health is poor. Not much time left to visit, I'm afraid.
Glad they had the chance to get together again.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!
It's good to be back and see how far the count has progressed!

And once again - a big THANKS! to Minta for keeping the count going.

Welcome back, Crown! Hey, if you took 301, you came through my hometown...Claxton, GA! If I'd known you were passing through, I would have taken you to lunch at my mother-in-law's restaurant. Best sweet tea in the south!

Glad you had a chance to get your dad and his brother together again.

I have a 91% in there right now but, I want to keep that A so I can make the Dean's List. It's a lot of pressure I've put on myself but, that's what I want to achieve.

That is a great goal to have and I hope that you achieve itcheesy

The two guys that were putting up the Christmas trees and the inflatable yard displays didn't seem very happy about it. If that were my job, I'd be grinning from ear to ear! cheesy

I would love to be able to do that and get paid for it. I might even be tempted to do it for free. :tree:

Glad to hear that you had a nice trip!!!!!!

Also, next month I start putting my Christmas stuff in my room. I try to have it done by Halloween. My family thinks I'm nuts but I know they love it. I have a ton of stuff in my closet. I'll post pics when it's all done. I still have to post the pic of my countdown.

WOOHOO 50 DAYS TO THE SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't have a chance to really post yesterday. I had to take my mom to the doctor yesterday morning and he released her to go back to work after 14 weeks. She still has to go to therapy to help her build the strength back up in her ankle but he said that everything is looking good. After we left the doctors we had to return her wheelchair and then we went to my sisters. She has had a migiraine for about a week now and her family doctor sent her to nerulogist yesterday. Mom took her to the doctor and I got to babysit my two nieces. I managed to get on my sisters computer for a few minutes while my nieces were taking a nap but the youngest one decided she was not going to take a nap and scream for a hour instead. The doctor didn't find anything wrong with my sister and just told her that she waited to long to go the family doctor. she told her that if you don't get the shot within 24 hours of the migiraine starting that it doesn't usually work and that she would just have to let it take it's course. She did give her some pain pills to help with it. I got home after that to find that there had been a accident that had taken out a light pole and knocked out the power at my apartments. It did not come back on until 9:45 last night. Today wil be spent trying to get caught up on all the posts that I missed and cleaning house. Hope evryone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goodness, Made! You've had a tough week! I'm glad your mother is improving and your sister will be ok. I hope your weekend is better! cheesy

You're Welcome Crown. It was my pleasure to help out. Glad you had a great trip.

Welcome back, Crown! Glad to hear you had a great time. The fact that you saw your dad and his brother together again must have made you smile. Hopefully they can have one more meeting on earth, but at least you can feel responsible if this was their last. It certainly seems like you took a nice trip down memory lane as well. Nice to have you back and on 50 days left until the Season no less!

Thanks again to Minta for continuing the countdown as well!

Indeed we did! Home of Claxton Fruit Cakes! Saw the sign at the railroad crossing, just as we did 35 years ago.

Best sweet tea in the south, eh?
I'll keep that in mind if we pass through again, Brad.

Thanks for the welcome back, everyone!

Welcome back, Crown! Good to see that you made it home in good shape!

Holy Cow....for whatever reason....I didn't realize in that Christmas Eve was just three months away....man...that means three months from about right now we will be at Momma's house eating and visiting....laughing and playing games...just having a good ol' time...did i leave out the presents...haha...three months ago we were in June..that seems like last week!!!! I'm just 32...but I remember when Mom and Dad was my age and they kept talking about how time flies by when you get older....and I thought that was just something that old people say...lol...how true it is though...ya know, Mom and Dad aren't as stupid as I once thought they were! See ya...headed to the football game!
