Yes, Folks, time to rise, shine, and greet the morning, however cold and wet.
We had plenty of rain yesterday and more is ready to fall this morning where we stand at a chilly 50 degrees here in Raleigh.
No matter - our annual State Fair starts at 3:00 this afternoon and runs through October 25th. Kind of kicks off the holiday season around here!
Will take my father out there on Monday when the crowds are smaller, then go back with my sister and her family the following Saturday.
Lots of good food, including fried twinkies. (Funny, Carl and I can't talk them into substituting fired twinkies. Oh, well!)

Wow! The Season will be here 4 weeks from tomorrow.

I've been struggling to get all my stuff done before our weekend away. I'm not a very important man, but I sure have a lot of irons in the fire.

It's really cooled down today. It was 57°f this morning! I'm getting in that holiday mood!

EXPECT A COLD WEEKEND ACROSS WNC WITH DAYTIME HIGHS IN THE 40S FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND LOWS AT NIGHT IN THE 30S! THERE IS STILL THE POSSIBILITY OF A LITTLE SNOW IN THE HIGHER MOUNTAINS THIS WEEKEND!

Good morning, everyone.

The countdown has entered the 20s! It's currently -1C here in Ottawa. That's 29F. Quite chilly for this time of year. Don't worry, though, we're supposed to reach a steaming high of 4C today! There is such a winter-like high pressure system here that we cannot even reach 40F. Oh well, at least the sun is shining.

It went down to -4C here last night, too, Star. Unfortunately, we had outdoor practice 9-11 PM and had to run and scrimmage as the temperature continued to dip. It was definitely a chilling feeling for this time of year.

The post count on the countdown continues to increase. It would be interesting to see how much it has increased over the past month or so. I can remember a few dead periods heading into October but now it seems as if everyone is becoming submerced with Christmas Spirit! I am sure that more will continue to drop in and then we'll all feel the true warmth of the Season.

Like Brad, I will not be around again this weeekend - have a safe and fun trip, Brad. I have my final tournament of the season, Canadian Nationals, in Montreal. It begins tomorrow morning and finals are on Sunday afternoon. We are one of the main contenders and I will be extremely disappointed if we don't come back with a National Championship. It is forecasted to be cold there, too. A high of 9C all weekend. We'll have to dress real warm - plenty of Under Armour Cold Gear for me.

As usual, this message has gotten really long. I'll probably drop by a few more times throughout the day. Have a fantastic Thursday, everyone!

Today is a weird day for me. Nascar practice and qualifying is on today instead of tommorrow. So today will be spent doing some paperwork to send in to my job and then I will be watching nascar and HSN. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well today is my Friday as I am off tomorrow and I plan on listening to some Christmas music and doing a lot of baking. Going to ship out a care packages of baked goodies to our 2 adopted soldiers on Saturday. One in stationed in Iraq and the other is in Afghanistan.

The calls for possible snow for tonight and tomorrow continues! We'll see!!! A nice cold and rainey weekend might be just the ticket to get a show or two done for www.MerryChristmasRadio.com. We still have the interview I did with Mary Crosby, daughter of Bing, to air as well! and what better time then when we slide into the season!!!

It's a dreary, rainy, windy c-c-c-cold, yucky day today!!! I'm so glad to be inside, even if it is at work! LOL!

Ok, the workday is over. Now I have to go home and argue with a tech support guy about a vinyl cutter I have attached to my home computer. I tried to talk to them at lunch. They told me it would cost me $29 for the priviledge of getting them on the phone.

I held my temper, & told them I'd get back in touch. Now I have to get back in tough. Grrr.
