in relation to where I live it is! I have to drive 3 hours north to get to it.cheesy But in relation to the entire province it is actually considered central Ontario.Barrie is not northern Ontario!!

Good morning friends....hope this finds all doing well....I've got quite a day ahead of me....MEETINGS ALL DAY...yuck! Oh well, that's life.
Wife decided to put tree up next weekend....which made me happy, however, we got things to do this weekend and I can't wait. Going to decorate the house Friday night after ballgame, sleep in, then finish the lights....good times ahead for us!

Happy November 5th! It snowed lastnight but now it is just chilly and sunny. I am off to the mall today to snap some pictures for the Christmas Blossoms thread.

Hey everyone!!! I can't believe that we are just 50 days from Christmas! I'm heading off to MOPS right now where we have a guest speaker that is teaching us about decorating for the holidays and making tablescapes! I'm very excited to learn a bit about that. She'll also be talking about dealing with extended family over the holidays. Thats a good one for me to hear as my in-laws will be here for Christmas and I'll need all of the help I can get :-?
After that, I'm off to purchase a couple hundred candy canes for a promotion I'm doing at work. While I'm at Sams getting those, I just might take some time to enjoy the Christmas decorations there.
I've still got a lot of packing and preparing to do before vacation, but I am so ready! The last 4 weeks or so have been 55+ hour weeks at work. I'm ready to relax and let the Christmas spirit take over me! :yahoo:

I heard some rumblings that there was fluttering snow outside a bit earlier. Unfortunately, I missed it. We may receive some mixed precipitation tonight though. The temperature is only reaching a high of 4C (37F) today and will cool down into possible snow tonight. Temperatures for the weekend are supposed to be double digits! Mid-50s. It should be a beautiful fall weekend here in Ottawa.
I purchased some Christmas cards - which I intend to send out this weekend - last night on my way to purchasing tickets to A Christmas Carol in iMAX 3D on Friday night. The 9:30 PM show cannot come soon enough! Apparently they now have reservd seating at iMAX. There were only four seats purchased prior to my arrival, which means that Kim and I have arguably the best seats in the house! We are both quite excited!!
Tomorrow leaves us only a week away from The Season? How can that be?! Personally, I don't know where the time has gone but I like it! The fact that there are only 50 days left until Christmas is also kind of special. The commercials are nearly in full force and the specials will soon be airing on TV as well!

As I drove home from the airport, I noticed serveral people taking Halloween deco down and one brave soul puting up Christmas lights. My kind of people !!!
Well, I've got chores (honey do list) to do, and Nat King Cole on the stereo so it's not too bad.

My mom has been in in the mountains for the last month and finally came home Monday. We went to eat at her house last night. She and a family friend had been picking up broken limbs in the pecan orchard and had a big bonfire going when we got there. So we had roasted hotdogs and marshmallows for supper. Pretty good!

Already put my outside lights up- did that Halloween night. I am always first to get deco up and first to get shopping done. Call me an early bird- but hey you know what they say about the early birds.....
Hopefully it will be fun weekend for our family. The Polar Express train ride starts up tomorrow in Bryson City (about 20 minutes from us). The town is already fully decorated for Christmas. The lights in Galinburg/Pigeon Forge go on this weekend. We plan to enjoy both and visit "The Incredible Christmas Place" as we celebrate my son's birthday. Can't wait...
