The kids are finally out of school today, so we get 2 weeks of peace, no late nite test studying, or math homework. Just dinner, then on the couch for Christmas movies!

Cold here again in Raleigh at this hour where we are at 34 chilly degrees under overcast skies with the threat of freezing rain both today and tomorrow.
Snow is one thing - freezing rain is another altogether!
(Nothing very "seasonal" about black ice on the roads.)

32 degrees outside, and I'm hoping for snow. The weather guy says no snow. Oh well.

this year I have noticed that almost every house on my street has put up lots of outdoor decorations- it looks so great! and I haven't seen this in a quite a few years. I think it must be that when things in the world seem so uncertain, people turn to the comfort of God and Christmas love!

Good Morning all.... Cold here this morning. Calling for LOTS of snow starting late late tonight and lasting into the early hours of Sunday... My mom and I are going grocery shopping tonight after I get home from work to get the rest of our baking supplies. Our big baking weekend is upon us and I can not wait!!! Just need to get a couple gift cards and then we eill be done gift shopping.

Hoping to settle in tomorrow night with coffee, a tray of home made goodies, a christmas movie on TV and finish wrapping.

We had the opportunity to go Christmas caroling in the neighborhood last night with a group from church and it was great. We realized that a lot of houses in our neighborhood are decorated so it was a real Christmas treat to be out. :treeguy:

hey all,

it's sooo cold here in the U.K and we have had a fair bit of snow. i have had a wonderful build up to the season so far. tomorrow i am taking my 3 month old daughter to the grotto with her 7 month old cousin, then it's back to my mums for some mulled wine.

I am done with my Fall semester! I took my last final yesterday. I also got an early Christmas present yesterday too, my boss gave me today and tomorrow off and I got my paycheck! One week from today is Christmas!!! I can't wait!

We are supposed to get snow tonight, and all day tomorrow! Hurray for SNOW! Maybe it'll stick around and we'll have a white Christmas; we don't see many of those here. I'm going to do some boiling of Figgy Puddings tomorrow. They make my whole house smell just wonderful, and I'm looking forward to making my Christmas desserts while it's snowing!

Good afternoon, everyone!

Constantly waking up at around 11 throws my day for a loop! I can't believe we are only a week away! The Christmas lights are on display in full force. Every street is lit and shining bright. I love it!!! I still have to get some shopping done but I believe that my mom and I are going to the mall tomorrow afternoon. It's going to be crazy!!!

We're almost at 7700 posts! Only a week left to reach 8000! Hopefully we can get it. Come on. Christmas spirit!! I'm off to the gym now though. Have a fantastic day, everyone!!!

What A day,Went Christmas Shopping,got home there was a Message from the kids School,Nurse said Doug didnt sound so good might be something more than a cough.Got him went to the Dr's and it's not just a cough he has Pneumonia.Poor guy is resting now.no running or riding bikes or scooters,as if ya could do any its so darn cold out! oh what a way to start His Christmas Vaca.

Wow only a week away. It seems like just yesterday that i was carving the turkey for thanksgiving and then standing out in the cold to go shopping. Things have been kind of hetic here since then but they are finally starting to slow down. I haven't had a chance to check in here every day so I am way behing on all of the posts. I got all of my work done now though and I am about half way through my baking. I have made 12 different kinds of candy and I have several more to go. I don't think that I am going to get to all of my cookies this year. The rest of today will be spent making fudge and maybe some peppermint bark. They are calling for snow here tonight and tomorrow. They are also saying that we could get a bad storm on christmas eve and that we are defintely going to have a white christmas. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mum sorry to hear your child isn't well. My niece just got over a sickness now my nephew has it. I told their mother it sucks when their not well but hopefully they get it all out of their systems before Christmas morning. Keep us posted!
