To stay in the Christmas Spirit, I have been going back over the post. I must say that this one cracks me up!!!

The kids are finally out of school today, so we get 2 weeks of peace, no late nite test studying, or math homework. cheesy

Yesterday I told my 3rd grade kiddos that this was their last night of homework for the year. They cheered and had NO clue that I meant 2009 and not the school year. It happens EVERY year. I just laugh and laugh!

Hi everyone...we had a beautiful evening yesterday...We went to our yearly Christmas song thing yesterday....It´s between two of our oldest churches....on the towers of those churches musicians with trumpets and such play Christmas songs and the specatators are standing on the street between those towers.....while they were playing the christmas songs it was snowing...and Kandice and I were playing in the snow....she reallly loved it

This sounds LOVELY!!!

Santa is bringing me a new laptop for Christmas...that Santa!!! I'm pretty excited about that!!! quote]

Wait! Wait! Wait! You have an IN with Santa and you KNOW what you are actually getting for Christmas??? What is your secret???

We are getting our plans finalized for Christmas eve and day. We went to dinner tonight at a restaurant that goes all out for Christmas! It's a tradition in our house to go to that restaurant. I can't wait til the end of the week!

Is it a national chain or a local one?

Only three days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to meet some friends for lunch today and then it will be back home to clean everything up. Today is also my moms birthday so I may take her out to dinner. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I've been in and out this week!

Hey everyone!

Man, everyone around here found out I was off of work this week, and they all want me to help them do stuff.

I gotta go back to work just to get some rest! cheesy

Well I got some of my cleaning done but my great uncle called and asked if I would come over and help him take down his outside lights before it snowed again tomorrow. I spent most of my afternoon over at their apartment helping him take everything down. When I got back home I made some hot chocolate and sat down in the recliner and a fell asleep. I slept for a couple of hours and woke up just in time to get the chicken on for supper. Now that I am well rested and have a full stomach I am thinking about getting back into the cleaning mode but collage football is also calling me. I hope everyone has a great evening.

I hope you get home soon Jeff and enjoy your time off!!!!!!!!!

:hello: I have to share what happened while we were lighting the luminaries.

I heard the sound of sleigh bells and looked up in the sky. I got caught by one of my dad's Bridge buddies who was experiencing the luminaries for the first time. He said, "what are you lookiing for?" I said, "I'm quite sure I hear the sound of sleigh bells and I just had to look." He smiled and said, "they're coming from the door of that house" as he pointed across the street. I said, "well this is a night for believing and to be honest it's not the first I've looked up tonight." He just laughed.

That is SO sweet!!!

That's beautiful! Last night, I actually saw a meteor fly very close to the ground and burn out. It was a fascinating site. One that I probably will never experience again. Of course, I thought "Santa." Too bad it was last night, though!

Wow! That is exciting! I love it when we have meteor showers on a clear night! I get a lot of science emails from NASA that informs me of such so I tell my third graders when to expect them.

This is completely nutty. :rudolph:

I have to wrap the cat's present in the bathroom. He'll know I'm doing something and he has a paper fettish and won't let me wrap out here and my husband already went to bed. I don't want to put the cat in his room yet. Maybe I can do it before he wakes up in the morning.

It's not easy surprising a cat with a Christmas present. :-?

I laughed out loud when I read this!!! Our cat is too skittish for a wrapped present!
